Hi bros, wanna ask whether integrated tail lites with led signal lites installed on no plate can pass inspection.

 

Strictly speaking, Integrated taillight and led signal lights both fail inspections.

even i installed back the original fender with original tail lites but the integrated lites on, still cant pass? from what i noe if u use integrated lites, must have the signal lites s well then can pass.

mine the previous owner installed so not sure about it.. its ok. i have a neighbour who rides fz1 as well and his bike is with integrated n no LED signal lites on..ill be sure to ask him later..

I do not have the side racks or panniers, but came across this anyway.

Perhaps those of you who have the same rack, need to modify/ strengthen the racks just in case?

Hi Peeps... would like to ask if anyone of you having FZ6 S1... i would like to have a external helmet lock. but i went to HL. seem like there is no external helmet lock for S1 2005 model. any recommendation to secure 2nd helmet? although i have a box but i cant put the second helmet into it due to items like raincoat etc...

hmmm... u can also buy a box and keep ur helmet in it... safer too...

 

sometimes, if u kana weirdos, u will find all sorts of weird stuffs in ur helmet if u lock it outside...

 

also, if rain, ur helmet also kana... then u got to ride in wet hair... yucks...

Hi I'm riding a Fz6 S1 08 model. I face a problem when at idling rpm my bike throttling sounds abit choked.. and when I ride my bike at low rpms and low speeds got jerking.. I heard from other frds riding fazers this prob seem to be caused because our fuel tank cap is not reali waterproof and sometimes water seeps into the tank and our fuel injectors get choked. is this true? can anyone advise me wad is my bike's problem and wad i can do?

Been observing some stuff with my FZ1 to share here and find commonalities if any.

 

1. FZ1 tends to produce "tick-tick-tick" sound from engine compartment. Initially, I tot is due to old timing chain etc tht needs to tighten or change. I changed it, its not as loud but still there. Then been going up beside every FZ1 on road tht I come across at traffic junction. Surprise surprise, all of them hv "tick-tick-tick" noise.... some even much louder than mine.....

 

2. My FZ1 tends to leak a bit of liquid when parked..very likely from coolant pipes but uncertain. Very tiny bit... so I look at every FZ1 in car parks whenever I see one. Most... (but not all) seems to leave a tiny bit of something on the floor... surprise surprise again....

 

Any feedback on above? Would like to hear from FZ1 bros.

the tick tick sound should be quite common...

 

while the leak may be due to ur pipe wear and tear?get it check ba...cant be leak abit here and there de ba...one day all leaked off how?

For 1. it could be yr valve tappets. Or it could be the headers as some ppl have suggested. Mine usually happens at startup and goes away after the engine is warmed up.

 

 

For 2., I advise u to bring it to yr mech. There's a coolant pipe T-junction somewhere on the left side and middle of the engine, and it's made of plastic. Mine cracked and gave me the same symptoms as yours. Coolant on the floor after parking it for a while. Eventually the small reserve coolant tank under the seat ran dry and I felt my bike running hotter.

 

I got the T-junc replaced with a metal one supposedly used by Ducatis. Been good ever since.

My quiries:

1. wen is e recomended miledge to replace coolant?

2. wen is e recomended miledge to replace air-filter?

3. wen is e recomended miledge to replace spark plugs?

4. wen is e recomended miledge to replace brake fluid & hose?

 

Any idea how much does a 08FZ6S can fetch in e market?

M thinking of upgrading to FZ8 though i jus use it for daily communting to work.

Think FZ8 is >$21k currently bah. Btw, does FZ8 cums with mainstand?

when the bike heats up faster than usual?...i change every 1/2 year or so due to high commuting

 

2. wen is e recomended miledge to replace air-filter?

depends...my stock lasted me 30k mileage...using k&n now...

 

3. wen is e recomended miledge to replace spark plugs?

every 10k check, 20k recommended to replace..as per manual..

 

for me, i changed 30k...fully utilising the plugs:angel:

 

4. wen is e recomended miledge to replace brake fluid & hose?

brake fluid hm, i do once per year...hose can lasts longer....if got extra cash, go for steel ones...worth investing

it's recommended to flush the original one at 1000km... subsequently, do a flush every year...

 

2. wen is e recomended miledge to replace air-filter?

replace it to aftermarket ones any time before or during the change of your aftermarket exhaust... or do it when you pleased... cus the air flow quality of original air-filter is not that fantastic...

 

3. wen is e recomended miledge to replace spark plugs?

originals are able to last you for 20k... iridium can last you for 30k to 40k... recommended to check every 10k...

 

4. wen is e recomended miledge to replace brake fluid & hose?

brake fluid is recommended to flush & bleed every year or when you change your hose... change hose to steel braided ones is per your preference, good to have it...
