Hi all,

I am new here and I am also totally new into biking. I'd like to seek some advice from you experts here on some recommendation on the various types of bikes that I can acquire.

I need to get a bike for daily commute into Johor Bahru and Singapore. Understanding that there is always a jam at the Causeway, it is much recommended that I should get a higher CC bike to avoid engine problems during prolonged idling?

In short, ideal bike should fulfill the following:

1. Reliable and not problematic

2. Easy on maintenance

3. Relatively fuel efficient

4. Not exceeding 200cc

And also, any recommendation of any trustworthy shops where I can purchase the bike? If not convenient, PM me?

Thanks for reading!

Ken

BUFFERING: Give yourself space. People driving cars often just don’t see motorcycles. Even when drivers do see you, chances are they’ve never been on a motorcycle and can’t properly judge your speed.

TA 200 is much heavier than a cub, you will sweat and curse if you have to push it everyday at the causeway jams. If you don't mind that, it also fits the bill.

I think what best fits your bill is all the Cubs. X1, Wave, etc...

When going over by Woodlands using my X9. That was my 1st and last time. Engine started to overheat, so squeezy, mirror and paintwork always got scratched here and there.

Cubs still the best man.

I've always wondered how those riding big bikes stand it when going up north. Heavy, hot, squeezy...and the jam seems to be almost permanent nowadays...

Go up by 2nd link. 1st link is almost a No No.

There's also 1 time, alot of bike went up way North. Who started waiting for who? Its the 2B started waiting for the Class 2s, because Class 2 bikes to cruise up North to let the 2Bs keep up, tend to overheat and with the safety features, the bike shuts down. So have to wait for it to cool off.
