Newer riders are more likely to get into accidents, cause they lack road experience.

In addition, many new riders still don't know how to maintain bike properly. Inexperienced rider + badly-maintained bike == higher possibility of accident

New riders will probably have just obtained their bike, and therefore will be less familiar with the quirks of their individual machine.

Operating the bike is not as "automatic" as older riders, therefore reaction time will be increased.

Just some of the reasons...

boring rider. with a boring bike.

too old to want to appear interesting anymore.

I had 2 close accidents during my p-plate before..

first i almost self skidded during a drizzle on the metal plate road along airport rd.. worst scenario that i could imagine is to buang and land on the oncoming vehicle..

next is the car in front never signal to turn right and just jam brake on the spot.. i was behind and quickly swerve my bike to my left..

however i dun believe in being lucky for third time.. so i'm just following the rules and do the regular checking of blindspot, getting a bigger mirror for my bike.. :)

Now i'm still a p-plater and got into 2 accidents. Both is in a car park cos floor slippery and happened when going up slope and turning.

But i always do the regular checking.

I passed my Tp yesterday and to be honest i know nuts of mantaining a bike .. when to do the art of changing the chain? lubricating the chain? engine oil ? brake pad change 1 at a time or both together ? It wont be easy to identify if something screwed up with my bike if i were to get one :s

But riders who just passed tp do not have some of the bad habits like some of the older riders do[its a generalization not all experienced riders are like this some are though... so dont flame me ar >.

Its a doubled edged sword i guess newer riders have their pros and cons and experienced riders have thiers too =p

Wen u talk about new how new.

I've been riding many yrs and have to avoid accident many times which is cause by other motorist who change direction without due care.

2 me the 4 wheelers r the culprit & we always get the blame

(exclude speeding m/cycle riders)

i guess IMO u have to be both a driver and a rider to understand the other's view .. like when im driving. i care more about riders and i always give way to them. and when im riding (haven pass tp) i would know whats up to the driver's sleeve so i can anticipate and faster run away ...

maybe like what ppl say . when ur driving u hate riders. when ur riding you hate drivers. lols don flame me ..
