Why not guys ?

I did 6000kms on stock rims and tyres.

Only changed my 2 tyres in Hatyai before coming back to SG cuz it's cheaper than Malaysia and Singapore.

As long ur tyres are not worn out or old, they'll be fine.

Riding extended periods of time will make most tyres hot and sticky.

Reason why many tyres fail to grip is due to not achieving optimum operating temp.

I will open invitation to anyone willing to ride on a cub or even other makes.

But u got to make sure u will attend the ride and not just raise hands blindly if u cannot commit.

Most prob the ride will commence on a Mon night at 9pm from Tuas Checkpoint.

Ride will take appr 14hrs.

Will stop at every major R&R at about 80km interval for fuel and drinks for about 15mins.

Every 2 R&R will stop for about 30mins.

Riding speed about 90-100kmph.

Will prob reach thai border about 10-11am. Reach Hatyai about 12pm.

Stay for 3 nts at about 600-700baht a night.

Either single, double or twin sharing.

Food wise no problems. Got many halal food stalls around.

Girls wise also no problem. ( come on lah dun act virgin ok )

Expenditure for now i can safely quote S$100 for fuel/snacks/drinks for round trip.

Assuming 1L = 30km

SG to HDY = 900+km

HDY to SG = 900+km

Give and take 2000km in all.

Fuel needed = 2000/30 = 67L @ RM2.50 per litre (?) = RM170

RM30 for snacks and drinks.

RM30 for insurance.

This is a rough guide only. Could be more or less.

Daily expenditure depends on each individual.

Depart on Fri morning about 8am. Reach SG about 2am on Sat morning.

Gears. I will not be strict but it's ur own skin.

Full face recc. If not open face with face mask aka balaclava.

Gloves either $1 SSDC type or full race leather gloves.

Raincoat minimum else jean jacket or touring jacket or race leathers.

Jean minimum else touring pants or race leathers.

Covered shoes/boots or race leathers.

Brains (must be in working condition).

1 month before ride will hold meeting.

Maybe will collect payment for hotel rooms too in case ppl wanna put aeroplane.

This is not finalized so there might be changes as and when deemed necessary.

Thanks.
