ohh.. no ..:cry::cry: i sad for u .. what are the cause of your 2nd time fail for prac 1 ?

Haha, initially was all good. Instructor asked me to stop by the side (in the mini circuit) cause he wanted to see how I stop. When I was about to stop, someone wobbled in front of me, and suddenly blocked my way. So I brake and banged into her then fall down. Then after this incident, I a bit panic alr, then start to make a couple of mistakes here and there.

Then I banged into her the second time  she went zigzag and suddenly came into my tracks. Didn't fall, but engine stalled. ARGH. Then the instructor saw my facial expression then say to me, "Eh dun angry lah~" LOL.

In the end she went back to bang tires. :sian:

Oh and I keep looking down when i'm about to stop cause I keep thinking about what the instructor said,

1. Close throttle

2. Hold Brakes

3. Pull clutch

4. Change back to gear 1

So when I stopping, I kept looking down lor! Bad habit. :cheeky:Trying to change it..

So in conclusion, too nervous plus not zai enough.

So this sunday going for 3rd prac 1..

I think you better book your prac 2 first, dun wait for me liao. If not you'll wait until flowers all wither. HAHA.

All the best!

Thanks.. :cheeky:

Life's a climb, but the view is great..

haha. don't worry. u'll make it.

i believe you can. always book 2 times for a practical lesson. with difference of 48 hrs. in case i passed then i cancel the latter one.

then like that no need wait long for the next prac if fail.

a bit kiasu but you got 18 cancellation counts so i guess you can make full use of it.

.

wow.. now then i know can do like that.. hehe.. then I also kiasu also.. booked 2 later.. haha

haha sian .. fail today.. e break and plyon easy .. but omfg.. plank .. the moment i go up i go down .. and the worst part is .. i looking straight all the way.. stress ah....

Means i trottle more to go up .. den once both wheel on top .. i let my bike slowly roll by itself ah.. since u said close throttle ?..

i think so eh... i havent even had the chance to travel 1 meter on the plank .. haha... they like rushing for time .. i only manage to try 3 times.. den go to e brake already... sad man

first, dun think of anything.. just throttle and make sure ur bike go up the plank.. then u try to slow down the bike movement, by closing the throttle abit, pull the clutch abit.. (abit only) if the bike still moving too fast, use ur right foot to brake a little (to control the moving speed)..

jus ride thru if u really think u are out of balance.. (the most cut a bit point only) the instructor will let u thru..

Not to spoil your mood or be a wet blanket, but there are much more to prac 1 than what u are currently learning. Even if you are successful in the braking technique, you still have about 2-3 lessons going round the circuit, learning to change gear smoothly (From gear 1 to 3 or gear 1 to 5 then change down) and how to stop smoothly too.

In any way, just take prac 1 as your foundation no matter how many lesson you take. For me, I took about 4 lessons and I was getting quite edgy being stucked at prac 1 for so long. But it is really the foundation that you have to master because these are important for your obstacles and OTR (On The Road) training as well.

I hope the truth would not hurt you, but will spur you further :thumb:

Yeah the more you practice, the more u realize that you will be more confident and not look down. If it helps, just go on the plank as per normal, and if it's fast, just pump rear break.

After doing this a few time, you roughly master the balancing and can now try to go up the plank slower and smoother.

LOL failure to clock more than 6 seconds constitute 4 demerit points :cheeky:

I just failed prac 1 last night for the 2nd time! Haha (does orientation count?). Was disappointed with myself because the first time was ok, then the 2nd time the bike balance was damn off. I started wondering if it's the problem with the bike. Anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only one who suck after reading this page. Haha.

I may be wrong, but the bike I used yesterday was damn chui. Handlebar was not aligned with fork. :o then sometimes the foot clutch gets jammed. :o did I mention the bike didn't even have the throttle/brake light indicator mounted on top? :o next lesson I better not kanchiong and anyhow take a bike already. Most prob next week retake my lesson again. Haha.

LOL actually the fast way is to book 2 slots at one go, but at least 48 hours a part. Eg: Monday and thursday. So if monday you pass, you can at least have 24hrs to cancel and the money will be refunded back.

Cos if you just book 1 slot each time, the timing in between might be very long, then your skills will be rusty.

 Just my 2 cents :thumb:

lesson 1-2 i think is the most impt for a new rider

for me, i had no experience so lesson 1 gives u time to learn

but if fail alot of times, i think is just nvr follow procedures

if follow wad instructor say cfm can pass 1.

and lesson 2 is v impt also

cuz do everything in gear 2,

so get a good feel of "gear 2"

cuz u gotta use that for ur everything in ur lesson 3

aniwaes

damn happy ytd

passed my prac 3 on the 2nd try

though alot of funny **** happened

hahaha
