Wah sey. 3rd time Prac 1, still didnt make it. Zzz. Finally made it out to the main circuit. Changing gears was ok, it was the braking part. I braked too early and wobbled a bit initially. Sian. But nevermind, practise makes perfect no? Anyway, i booked the prac next week. Its at night. Will it be dark? How different is it?

hmm.. that is provided you already at gear 1 coz if you're at higher gear you'll most probably have to clutch in and down gear first then apply rear brake and gradually apply front brake (all the while still clutching in) till you're at a complete stop.. coz you must stop at gear 1. do correct me if im wrong.

nope. at pract 4 you have to do e-brake, which requires you to accelerate to speed 30~35kmph and brake at gear 3(: hold in clutch before stall.

Woah. Thanks for the advice. If im not mistaken, the instructor said to lightly press the front brake then gradually increase rear brake after kicking down to gear one. Yea.

Btw, im a girl. :D

in my opinion, you don't rly have to follow exactly what the instruction tells you what to do. like for breaking, just follow your feel and don't be panic (:

Not trying to discriminate.. but I think girls shouldnt take bike =(

Same here bro. If anyone of my family or friends who are girls who wanna ride, i would strongly discourage them. If other people i don't really bother because who am i to them.

Riding is just very, very dangerous.

i'm a girl too

actually I don't see any issues with gender when it comes to riding bikes. Everyone, regardless guy or girl, has their own learning curve, with practice and determination surely can la.. but i do agree bikes are dangerous. it's only a matter of personal choice i guess? heh.

i do salute all bikers out there who made a choice to ride :thumb:

fail day! skid 2 times during circuit revision cause of the wet floor! first one was a starting pt only, I did 1 round ald then want turn out do second round then i corner too much then skid. That wasn't too bad till i do e-break, my brake doesn't seem effective on the wet ground and I technically tyre lock after i brake hard!

Future Nsr rider, better practice more before you otr. Its not a joking matter to skid outside with sp at 110km/h . :)

i remember prac 1 he said 75% rear brake 25% hand brake. thought he said rear first then hand....

anyway just do what you feel comfortable with. different people different methods to everything.

eh if it's dangerous to girls, isnt it dangerous to guys too?

haha but i know what you mean. girls generally react slower and not really adept at mechanic stuffs. actually i agree with you all.

if you want to learn nobody can stop you. even though you ride carefully on the road there are bound to be other inconsiderate road users. so advice to everyone: dont just concentrate on the road in front but look out for possible accidents around you. and must siam fast!

i skid twice because of the slippery floor, one on cornering one on e-brake.

err.. irregardless of weather and e-brake.. seriously.. it's depending on the skill... :)

cause.. out on the road.. the road will be EVEN more slippery as fuel/EO/water everywhere.. unlike circuit where they make sure not alot of EO/fuel or anything else...

cornering on e-brake.. :slapforehead:

better learn more before coming out.. else.. imagine on the road, you e-brake while corner.. you might be below a car or truck.. no offense thru..

anyway, be careful while riding..

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...
