crazyboy11, same as prac5. diff is that after ebrake you stop at the curbside and wait for the instructor to give the go sign to proceed to road.

triloza, i couldnt make it for 29 Apr TP. instead my TP is 6 May! :)

yeah. prac8 is final evaluation based on TP test route.. but you have to wait at the curbside (after ebrake) for the instructor. then you can proceed on the road. if after ebrake you never wait for the instructor to give the go ahead, imm failure. this only applies for prac8. usually, 1 instructor assigned to 3 bikes. So meaning if in the class you're the 4th bike, you'd probably have to lead the second group lor.

however, for tp, instructor say after ebrake straight away proceed road.

anyone know what they do at prac 8?

either you are lazy to read thru your booklet, or you are just plain lazy.. :sian:

your booklet clearly outlines the criteria to pass each lesson.

not that i remember.. you need the full power transfer for slalom.. and swing your bike hard.. slalom is about your eyeline and reflexes to swing/throw the bike..

using half clutch will give you a sudden jerk should you release the clutch, and possibility of hitting the cones will be high.

FYI, crashbar touch the cones = immediate failure. even if the cones didn't topple over.. and the bloody crashbars are WIDE!

good luck for prac 4.. i always love the plank and slalom..

oh, 1 more thing about the slalom..

DO NOT gun the throttle right after you pass the last cone.. throttle gradually..

reason being, your handlebar will be in at an angle when you clear the last cone.. hence if you gun/pin the throttle, you will experience a sudden shake on the handlebar.. next thing you know it, you are on the floor already..

remember, gradually..

PS: gun/pin the throttle means opening the throttle wide open in a fast motion.

yes. esp when you swing hard to clear the last cone..

the effect will only be more obvious if you swing the bike hard enough..
