why not like that,

cut the ERP cable, then make sure when crossing gantry travel at 299km/h

i think can siam. :cheeky:

No need to cut wire, juz travel 180km/h to siam the gantry.....the speed camera will catch you travelling at 180km/h and license revoke hahhaha.

when im about to pass through erp, i switch off ignition key clutch in let bike roll pass then i on engine back, can siam anot ar?

No use...ERP Gantry using Infrared and bluetooth technology to scan what passes it. They will still capture your bike's number plate. In this instance, you will be required to go for inspection for maybe IU faulty. If unlucky kena fine for not having IU unit hahaha.

Anyway y need to siam? The more you wanna siam, the more gantry they put up and then back to square 1 again. It is important to Plan your route so will kena less gantry. Or even better, cross the gantry before it starts to operate. So its all about 90% planning and 10% riding.

Yup i agree totally with you and i already brought up in the forum before but no use leh hahaha. I mean for cars can last min put cashcard but for bike how to sia.

Oh new infomation is that the new ezlink card will be out in January and it can be used as a card to pass thru gantry as well. Have yet to see the card as it was state at "Homes" in straits time today that it has alot of other uses. Hmmmmmm...

u nv on ignition put cash card and u noe the answer.

coz IU tap the power direct from battery, not thru ignition, if u can re-route the wire it might be different..

i am abit puzzled... by infra-red and blue-tooth ... are u referring to this small IU has RFID plus infra-red plus bluetooth transmitter ??

if this gonna take place, i believe it'll incur more costs than ERP will also increase mah..

apply for the DBS credit system.. no need cash card at all..

The best way is to take out your IU, cover yourself + your bike in a super large piece of bike cover (those for harley bikes maybe), cut 2 holes so you can see, and travel past the gantry. Pictures will be taken, nothing can be seen. Simple and sweet. (:

Lolz, Bros. Don't waste time lah.

The ERP gantry now is pretty fail proof. All the technique u guys discuss here will not work.

Cut off power to erp unit. Did u guess know that there's 2 pcss or cr123a lithium battery wired inside. This will provide the becon transponding function.

Even without power from main bike batt or engine. The ERP unit will transmit when crossing the gantry.

Well, what about taking the whole iu thingy out?

Someone I know tried. And this is gonna be interesting. He's a personal friend of mine. Pretty tech incline and tends to ponder and dwell on pretty chim tech theory and issue.

It was not intentional on his part. He was a vain guy. IU will make his bike look ugly. so u actually remove and leave at home.

Also due to the nature of his job, he will never travel during erp operation hr.

No leaving the erp unit on his bike is ok.

But 1 fine day. he was late for work and that's 8pm. all erp gantry is already up. And **** have to pass thru 2 gantry at cte. And he do not have a IU unit with him.

With his usual lihtning fast thinking. He analyse and try to find a loophole in the gantry. Transmitting part was solve as the IU was at home. There's no way his IU will transmit any signal for the gantry to snap the camera.

Next part to solve. See the rows of transmit and recieving panels that was mounted 45 degrees on top of the gantry. He suspect that is also a electro magnetc frequency detector. so call EMF. running thru his mind. The bike's electrical system does give out emf. So prior to crossing, he actually switch of the bike, clutch in and let the bike free roll in. Bike off engine, stop totall, should not have any emf, the stator coil also not running. thus no electricity or emf produce. so EMF part should be solved.

Finally the motion detector. Accross the road under the gantry. There are mini zebra crossing marks. That should be the motion detector.

Back then, before they upgrade the gantry, the zebra marks are small and they are not painted on the road shoulder.

So he off engine, clutch in and roll thru the gantry from the side road shoulder.

In the end LTA still send him a letter for erp inspection.

Now the grantry is upgraded. zebra marking increasse in size and extent to the road shoulder.

THus I don't think we can fool the gantry anymore.

Final words. Don't try. I know I sound nasty. But. Can afford to buy bike but cannot afford to pay for ErP is a joke. especially it's only $1 max depending on what time and where u are.

Hahah This is a very interesting story for you to share. I know one way to siam ERP. Go to another country with no such implementation and live happily ever after there.

What was said is true...Can afford thousand dollars bike, but cannot afford to pay ERP charges. Like that better take public transport. If dun wanna pay, go thru when the gantry is not in operation.

Last time, i discussed with my friend about installing bike IU to car. Make the IU connectors easy to plug and unplug. When go downtown plug in bike IU, pay bike ERP around 0.25 cents. Car park also same. Pay only 60 cents per entry. If some car parks don't allow bike to go in, put back car IU and go in.

How? is it logical?

Or if you feel unsafe about ERP, use car IU. Only for carpark, use bike IU. Then can park car cheap.

Then again, there's the possibility that the camera may be activated once you pass through.

If it so happens that the ERP can tell (i'm not sure how exactly) and that it snaps pictures of your vehicle's license plate, all I can say this amounts to an serious offense which more or less equates to someone that commits theft.

For carpark IU setups, I can vouch that the security guards are constantly watching (via CCTV installed next to the overhead beacon).

How can the camera is activated to capture? I am still paying ERP. Just IU is different. Unless Gantry is fitted with something to measure the size of the vehicle passing through and match with the IU.

Carpark also same. Even security guards are watching, the barrier will be automatically lifted up as it reads my bike IU. Who will bother to come down and check my IU which is fitted inside the car?

Yes they have that thing to measure ur vehicle size. It's the long zebra crossing strip. So ur ERP theory won't work.

Car parks have sensors u know. If u don't believe me next time u enter a car park, use ur cash card to enter, not the IU. Insert the cash card at the machine, when u exit with the same cash card, u'll pay bike parking fees, not car fees. So what's ur theory behind that? The cash card got some made for bikes some made for cars ah?

Just pay the few cents. Don't scrimp on the trivial fees and end up paying more.

Bro, I'm just being conservative here. It's like army slang; "Testing the system"

We may never know when the camera gets activated but in the event it does, the IU identifier and your license plate is recorded. These 2 information are used to identify whether the IU belongs to your vehicle or not.

Carpark: If I were you, I'd pray hope the security guards don't one day replay the videos of all the cars and bikes entering.

If they'd come across a video recording of a car at the gantry and the big electronic red signboard reads $0.65......

P.S.: I believe in most parking places, the lane entering the carpark gantry is kinda divided into two. There is a yellow "bike lane" on the extreme right side. Not sure how the sensors are arranged, but I believe this demarcation is used somehow to tell whether the motorist passing through is on a car or on a motorcycle.

The special right lane for bike is for them to detect bike IU unit, cause if the bike is at the extreme left, it can't be detected. Just a lane asking you to PAY.

We are paying ERP for no reason. Thats why we want to SIAM
