FYI, no bikes allowed in West Mall fr 1 Oct onwards

My horibble experience tonight. I went into the parking and guess what, it's a slope down and I'm stuck halfway where they say no bikes allowed. Behind me was a car, guess what, he just looked at me. I asked him to pass n just allow me thru, he acted blur n shake his head. No choice, i sounded my horn, after a while, no response, i panicked n tried to force my way thru a bit. then a security appeared, i asked him to let me thur n i'll u-turn back out. guess what, he said no bikes allowed n asked me to reverse back, wtf, he thinks my bike got reverse gear?! BTW, i'm riding pulsar n i'm not mussle man to push it up a slope. i got down n tried to push with his help, then he said i should sit on top n push, wtf, it's up a slope mind u! well, at least i let him do most of the job. :p almost reaching the top, i told him there's no sign n he pointed me a notice on the centre, i mean wtf, only the red word "NOTICE" is viewable, the rest of the word r too small to read from afar. he's thinking everybody got hawk's eye. :giddy: i keep telling him that the sign or at least the cone should be place outside and before the slope. he keep insisting the sign at centre is enough. well whatever they wants and their screwed up management. :dot:

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

umm... that's kind of upsetting...

oh well, i think the carpark opposite of Coffee Bean isn't too bad though... There are actually 2 MSCP, not 1.

1 found opposite of West Mall, another one opposite the bus interchange (near the HDB area office).

Biking is something that everyone can learn and enjoy! :goodluck:

Management really screwed up man

Whats wrong with letting you through and straight away going back up, next time if it happens again, just sit on the bike gey siao trying damn hard to reverse and let him know that it takes alot of hardwork. or rather just drop bike haha

I sent mine in liao :) Dun care whether it goes into a black hole lah, as long as word spreads among ourselves.

Due to your management disallowing motorbikes into the carpark (since 15 Oct 08), my family and friends have all started to boycott your building.

We feel that this decision is unjust and unfair. Are motorcyclists not potential shoppers too?

I can only hope that this decision is reversed in good will.

Sounds rather screwed up. There shouldn't be any reason why bikes are to be banned. Anyway, I never parked my bikes inside West Mall. I always park at the MSCP opposite. I find the discrimination on bikers getting worse in some places. Some people have the look on bikers as though bikers are second class.

Boycotting or conducting massive entries into the building does not help much. This calls for the real use of 'STOMP'. Bring this up into the cyberspace and write to local tabloids. Create a hoohar with an amplified magnitude without using even a single drop of petrol.

Hi Brothers out there,

I have a bad experience too when I rode my STX to Robertson Walk. Good enough I managed to get into the basement car park (bike allowed) by inserting the cashcard but couldn't find a suitable place to park my bike... All tiny little awkward corners say "Bike Parking" finally park "illegally" at any space I could find but got a warning letter. Anyway they charged me $3.20 for parking when I exit same as Car. So WTF I should have just park in the Car lot!!!

BUFFERING: Give yourself space. People driving cars often just don’t see motorcycles. Even when drivers do see you, chances are they’ve never been on a motorcycle and can’t properly judge your speed.

Bikers are considered 2nd class?? Those guys must be stereotyped. Some bikes even cost more than those small & COED Cars. (No offense). Many years back one guy was refused entry to a Hotel Carpark at Orchard Road and the security told the guy that Vans are not allowed. Mind you! That guys was driving the Top of the Line Range Rover that cost as much or more than Normal Beemers or Mercs. HAHA.[/i]

I had a similar experience quite some time back and during that time i was riding an R1, the security told me to reverse up the slope.....in my mind was WTF!!! behind me were already a few cars waiting and you want me to push a 170kg machine up a winding slope...does he think i'm Lou Ferigno???

'Just Follow Law' Do you know that many local Singaporeans who work under local management work with their brains kept at home? I have seen policemen demanding a pathetic small build to push his motorcycle about 100m from the bus stop pavement to the other end. But the rider cannot be bothered and rode off to the place the policemen wanted him to park his bike. The group of policemen then went after him. Young arrogant police CPL with pea brain who was steaming with pride with his new found authority. Black sheeps.
