Just changed the steering cone bearing last week, the old one is corroded and very difficult to steer.

$25 for the bearing (non OEM, bought from KS motorcyle) and $50 for workmanship done at my trusted workshop.

Total damage $75.

Workmanship I believe can be cheaper if done in JB but not worth taking into consideration of the traveling to and fro and the risk if its not done properly.

I am posting some of my bike's pictures after a good wash and polish. Nice bike to ride. Not sure why it is not that popular in Singapore. Good consumption, about 22KM/L and good power also.

Nice and good condition impulse you have there.

Guess youngster don't like Ah Pek looking bike, agree on the FC and nice ride.

I can clock about 25-26km/L, avg speed 100km/h (80% expressway)

Added a used GIVI E33 box today, its to store my new HRC helmet, to prevent it from sabotage and rain. Last week, some stupid idiot sabotage by opening my helmet visor and my helmet become soaking wet from the heavy down pour, when I park at the open car park at my company.

Paid $30 for the box and rack, $10 for the bracket from LAB, $15 to the mechanic in JB to mod the rack to fit my bike.

hi S750WP. Wonder if you can recommend a mechanic to change my fork seal. I will buy the seal and just need him to change and replenish the oil. Do you know how much it would cost?

Thanks

One of my forks was leaking late last yr. I serviced both at Bike Workz in kaki bukit area. It is located inside of Shun Li Industrial Park.

$80 (can't remember exactly how much) for changing both fork seals, dust covers, and fork oil.

Paid $20 for Workmanship to change both fork oil seal, at Universal workshop at Alexandra Village couple of years ago. Look for Michael.

brake pad : $50

oil filter: $12

air filter: $38

Satisfied! budget class 2a bike!:thumb:

The oil filter is cheaper compare to Guan Hoe, Suzuki agent, $19 before GST. Some says the oil filter sold by KS is made in China hence its cheaper. To me there is no difference, been using KS oil filter for many years now I am using the one by Guan Hoe. I am com-tempting to buy a GSX1400 KNN filter to save on the long term cost of replacing the stock filter.

Recently I bought a set of steering cone bearing from KS for $25, was told by workshop the original from Suzuki cost at least $60. So far the bearing is working fine for me too.

Another good source for spare part is scrap yard, very much cheaper, but the condition wise you have to judge yourself. :)

Thanks bro.

Can recommend any bikeshop in SG to install the new parts? Must be cheap and good one.

How about AGL or any shop at JB ah gua lane? Are they able to service this rare bike?

I actually encounter more impulse on the road than the bandit. the bandit V is even more rare. unless we are comparing to S4s lol.. we are a super rare breed.

the shop i would recommend is in my previous post where i serviced my front forks. cheap or good is for you to decide. :p

Universal workshop at Alexandra Village, look for Michael. I find the workmanship is good, and price fairly reasonable.

For JB I have never tried bringing in parts for service, but I believe shouldn't be an issue if they have the proper tools for the job.

great mod. came back in midnight?

Where is the air filter located in the bike ? Want to change it. Pls help. Thanks again.

Yesterday just mounted a voltage stabilizer "px axxx" onto the bike.

It was mounted in my ex-phantom.

I was wondering where the hack is the battery until I curiously took out the container under the seat and found it.

It is a very simple job, just hook and screw the + - wires onto the battery + - terminals.

However, the bikeshop which sold me the thing, quoted $25 to do this simple job.

To save $ better DIY nowadays.
