hey all. i'm a newbie for this S4 thingy and i'm gonna own my very own spec 3 this dec. anyways, what are the things that i shld look out for when owning a S4? for eg: the "rectifire" or battery faults? and hw u guys secure yr bikes etc? cause i've been hearing that the suspensions, brake calipers are one of those few items that are always prone to be missing...

 

and i've check on the mileage of the bike, its 29+k. issit ok for a 2year old bike?

 

anyways, hope to join u guys for meet ups and sharing sessions.

hehe 2 year old bike 29k++ is quite good bro, my bike just turned 1 year old and my mileage is 24k++

where u calculate that from?

 

look at the speedo cover and the inner cover(damaged even when stationary drop) if 2nd hand, check the headlight to see if its a "chiong" spec III ones. the rest should be the same as most motordiam "chopping"

Prob with Revo is that the EFI has some idling problems.. kinda like unstable idling of an out of tune carburetted bike..can be resolved with the help of a Power Commander..

29k++ for a two year old bike is a good catch..my previous spec3, i managed to churn out 40k+ out of the 2 yrs i owned it...

Do check out the electricals..i.e fuses, rectifier, batt...check the suspensions..bearings..any unusual sound from the engine...brakes..especially brake pads..

u should be refering to the headlight protector.

MotoWorld have it. S$40 a piece if i'm not wrong...

not the protector, spec 1 model is the one with all the grooves to dispurse the light. i'm looking for the spec 3 one, where the front plastic is clear..

dun have, u gotta buy the whole assembly. cos the new and old model the whole headlight assy is different. and fyi, OEM Stanley for s4 is S$260...

Where got so expensive? they do sell it separately friend.

 

have man.. i got one just now.. original honda with the stanley logo. spec 3 model. had it bought and fitted at only 60 bucks... its a little different, some modifications needed to fit on.

 

lol stardust was there with me.. he got the handle bar thingy at 12 bucks..

well bro, i've (not exactly me, my dad did) checked on the suspensions, the brakes and brake pads. all still in gd condt. and swee swee when i step into the shop, the prev owner is there. Its a she. Ang-moh summore. haha. very nice lady. then i carried on observing the bike, from my basic observation, the crash bar is still shiny and no sign scratch. as well the the exhaust. and it is still with the stock mirrors, head lamps (even comes with a yellowish blub), stock bridgestones tyres and no dented disc brakes. so i guess it shld be fine right? and anyways, hw much will a full tank on a 95 roughly cost?

ouh yar, abt the accessories, can I know where u guys get the bellypan and the side fairing thing in between the crash bar and tank? kinda interested in it.
