Seems like there are many plans for ride ups northwards, so lets compile them all here Mods feel free to edit this post and add in other trips which is not in here from the phantom thread I suppose?

 

The trip I am planning is to PORT DICKSON.

Date is 30/11 - 01/12. It will be a 2D1N trip.

 

This is where we will be going and staying --> http://www.eagleranch.com.my

 

I will be going for reccee next week hopefully.

There was quite a big argument the last time when riders just post trip events. It was quite poorly organize and without proper info and hence some argument started.

 

I am seeing history will happen again.

wonderful place, but disappointed fully booking with walk-in.

Advises, better booking advance on-line.

 

Shortest way to reach there thru' Malacca town then take the beach road and all the way up to Eagle Ranch Resort.

Road condition - two way lanes( up & down ) cooling country road and few small town (can take a break).

On the way, would pass by Malacca Tropical Fruit Farm, entrance fee Rm4.00

can take a look, but no fruits to puck (season: June ~ August

Vince, the thing is the experience riders are now not around to guide us. Anyway, I will be doing a recce up to Port Dickson this coming Wed. To check out the route and the place we might be staying. As I have not been there before thus cannot provide any information.

 

Also I need a show of hand how many is going so can see what kind of accomadation we can stay.

 

If there are any arguments, then hopefully those who started it would come forward to lead us for trips.

After some consideration. To prevent any mishap from happening, I think I shall proceed on the trip alone. Die also my own problem. Dont want to cause anymore unpleasantness in PK.

I think we have to start somewhere but of course, with ample preparation for the trip and also must take care of the people who go with you. For example, wait for people at every point that you need to turn etc etc... too much to list and i think you also know... so yeah...

arthur dun close the thread lah, mi actually plan to go up with u guys but can i drive up instead heh i b ur safety car can boh cause my wife not use to travel in bike for long distance

ST-> Madman might be coming too in his pink Kelisa. But as I mentioned, I still not good in leading cause I am still learning.

 

 

Guys, dont get me wrong. I am not against anyone. I understand Vince point of view, maybe the words I type are too bleak or blunt. I had read awful stuffs posted in the forum when things happened thus I do not want to have any part of it.

 

My initial plan was just a few guys do it the old way of holding a map and cheong... So as per Kev suggested to me earlier today, maybe I should phrase it as "Port Dickson Holland and recce trip with a chance of staying over night". I wanted to experiance touring long time ago, now that I got my Cl2 bike, I think I should start somewhere. Not that I do not wish to join the experience riders but its very hard for me to apply leave to coincide with them. Thus I have to do it myself and see if anyone is free to come along.

 

Will not be doing the recce trip tomorrow. Will reserved it for end of the month. Unless our dear Kmax wishes to lead us to Desaru for a day trip then I am ok to follow. I just hope to ride further....

Hope you have a great but safe time and gain enough confidence to bring a noobie like me up another day. Haizz really wanted to join you this time .
