YO! GUYS, i just got into an car accident...( i know this is a bike forum )

 

Can someone help me clear my doubts...

 

I was travelling on the 2nd lane (outer) of a 2 lane road, then I tried to make an illegal U turn and because the road was narrow, I tried to turn from the outer lane to the other side of the road. (I know it was stupid, i dunnoe what i was doing at that time. Should have check my blind spot 1 more time.)

 

Then a MPV from the first lane couldn't brake in time and bang into me. He asked if i wanna do a private settlement or call the police, I said private at first, but after taking a look at my car and his car, there is no way to pay the money but to claim from insurance.

 

So, I will have to report this to the insurance company, and im afraid they will have to report this to the police.

 

So the bottom line is an illegal U turn from the 2nd lane, will it cause my license to be kan-tong? (which means more than 12 points) =( hopefully not...

 

I really like driving car and Im half way taking my 2B! if i tio kan tong then pay like siaooooo... already need to come up with 2.5k

 

Yo..outer lane is 1st lane not 2nd lane..if i am not wrong u are driving on the 1st lane (outer) on a 2 lane road. U want to make a illegal u-turn, so u try keeping more to the 2nd lane (inner) and suddenly a car comes bang u from the back right ??

 

If so bro u haven't even did a u-turn wats the offense ? Just claimed u are doing a lane change to keep left.If u are at fault as determine by ur insurance company, u will lose ur NCD and pay more upon renewal of insurance.Nothing to do with TP as no one will injure.

 

Btw is ur car backside bang ? If so than likely u are in a win situtation, head and rear accident..90% court will rule in favour of the rear vehicle.

wads e difference between suspension and disqualified ?if a rider is disqualified from riding.izit e same as suspension ?

 

Suspend is only temporary..3mnths,6mnths or 9mnths.

 

Revoke means license completely gone ..bye bye..have to re-take..

12mnths > suspension = License Revoke.

 

Adding on the demerit issue..

 

All new 2B/2A/2/3 license holder will be given 12 demerit pts for 12mnths ..konwn as prohabation.

(2A/2 NOt required to put "underwear" now only 2B/3).

 

Prohabation license holder if accumalate 13 demerit pts..license will be revoke Suspension is only for qualified drivers 24pts.

 

Eg.

1.If u hold 2b/3 got ur 2A less than 1 year than ur pts is 12 pts.

During this 1 year period if u exceed 12pts (12pts is safe) BY right all classes revoke.But as bros know, when go court normally only 2A revoke

but again this is for those due to demerit pts cases, no injury,no accident.

If its for drink-driving than confrim all classes revoke no need to say.

( Tis all depend on the court decision and ur offense is the pts for speeding ? illegal parking ? beating red lights ? etc)

 

2.If u have 12 demerit pts b4 taking ur 2A/2 test. After passing u will have 0 pts.

Any offense that trigger 1 dem pts ur license revoke.Thats why the centre will advise u not to enrol.

 

3.Given 6 dem pts for speeding on 01/01/09. U pass ur 2A/2 on 01/06/09.

U will have 6 dem pts left. Ur 6 pts will be awarded back to u on 02/01/2010.

on 02/06/2010 u will than be awarded 24pts as prohabation period is over.

 

4.Given 6 dem pts on 01/01/09 speeding .Pass 2A/2 on 01/06/09. U will have 6 pts left. Given 3 dem pts on 01/08/09. U will be left w 3 pts.

On 02/01/2010 ur 6 pts WILL NOT BE GIVEN BACK as u have dem pts on 01/08/09.

on 02/06/2010 p-plate over but because u have offense, u will be not be awarded 24pts insted u will have 3 demerit pts.

on 02/08/2010 ,1 year after ur last offense than u will be awarded the full 24pts back.

(If u suay suay got 2 demerit pts on 01/07/2010, u left with 1 pts and will only be awarded the full 24 pts on 02/07/2011 )

 

So All bros Meaning ur demerit pts will only reset from the date of the VERY last offense.

er anyway, the problem is didn't bang backside, so cfm see is my fault...he bang my front right hand side while i was making U - turn...

 

Just went to report the case today le, is my fault and hopefully the claim would be lesser than 600 if not let insurance company pay then NCD drop lor...

 

very chor sia, i haf to come up with 2k myself =( my car itself bwuang til vehicle alignment out... hopefully the other party dun anyhow claim here claim there, cuz his car not so serious compared to mine. sian tiao, now my dad sure wun let me drive his car le =( lol

thanks for sharing this info. my situation is somewhat similiar, but i got my license before the demerit points.

ie

1 jan 08 : obtain class 2a license

1 aug 08 : demerit 6 points.

1 aug 08 to 1 jan 09 : i will have 6 points remaining?

1 jan 09 : points reset, i will have 24-6=18 points? am i eligible to take c2?

IF i can eligible c2 and pass by 1 mar 09 back to probation;

1 mar 09 to 1 aug 09 : 12-6=6 points?

1 aug 09 to 1 mar 10 : demerit written off, back to 12 points?

 

 

[so there is no such thing is 24 points over 2 years? my mech told me something like this,

1 jun 07 get 2a license.

1 jun 07 - 1 jun 09 you have 24 points.

lets say in the period of 1 jun 07 - 1 jun 08 you accumulate 20 points. then from 1 jun 08 - 1 jun 09 you will only have 4 points to survive with.

1 jun 09 you get back your 24 points.]

hi guys, yesterday beat the red traffic light, behind me was camera...

duno got flash anot, was in the afternoon.

may i ask even if its in the afternoon and my head is facing the front, would i still be able to recongise theres a flash?

 

and so if i kena, i would be hit with a 12 demerit pts plus fine, so then...

my back p-plate fell off, if they flash the camera, would i kena 2 charges? would that = to kantong or suspension?

 

and also i have a class 3 driving licence, probabtion ends this september.

if im hit with a 12 pt demerit, my class 3 is affected, BUT what will happen to the class 3 point system comes september? someone enlighten me pls =((

and and also, how long would it take eddies to update the system? Let's say yesterday they flash, letter need wait 2 weeks right? then eddies need wait how long ? =(((

may I koe it it means that ALL his license is suspended ?

how long is the suspension durations ?

 

When the suspension period ends...

will he be able to take license again ?

is der a new rule with regards to DIPs? which states that offeces are accumulated tgt and only will be given back a yr after the latest offence

 

else qns is:

 

Dec 2008 pass cls 3 (12pts)

March 2009 offence -6pts(bal 6)

Dec 2009 cls 3 probation over = +12 so total nw is 18 pts

24 Dec 2009 offence -8pts bal nw = 10pts

 

so qns is in mar 2009 will the abv person get back the 6pts frm Mar08 or will have to wait till Dec 2010 to get back all the pts?
