ter is a new type of tuner at KnT.. they use computer.. ur mech could have used the manual type..thus not accurate

What valve is there to open for Version S? It is not Vtec.

hi bro need help no idea wats going on. diff bike shop give me diff ans.

 

My Ver S exhaust have this "ring" sound went u ride. bike shop 1 tell me muffler. then bike shop 2 tell me header silencer.

 

so i went back exchange muffler with my friend sound still there.

 

so i guess is the header. so anyone know how to repair this problem.

 

it does not affect any power or ... but the sound really like idiot on the road.

 

went i pass by the bus stop ppl will start to look at me. pass by any bike the bike will look also.

change header ar?? maybe aftermarket..or search for PB1 header

If by tuning, you're refering to air/fuel mixture, most shops use a CO measuring device, which by itself is already a small computer.

 

By manual, do u mean by feel and sound? If true, that it is truly not accurate.

Got some questions abt my Ver S..

 

1. I used to be able to go at least 23km/l..now it's about 18km/l or less. I just retune the carbs in Jan. Do i need to go for another re-tune session? I'm not sure if the mech used a digital tuner for this...

 

2. My handlebar vibrates at 4-5rpm and is normal at other rpm. Any reasons and solutions for this?

 

3. I tried 120km/h-130km/h, but bike seems to vibrate a lot if i go beyond that.. Is this normal?

 

4. I can't go up or down curb. Sure to scrape the header. What can i do to prevent this? And more so, with a pillion, over a hump, sure to hear the scraping sound again.

 

Would appreciate any feedback.. Thanks in advance!

Most probably it's out of tune. There could be also many other reasons like the handle cone is due for a change or rear box that causes the vibration...

 

You can try to adjust the stiffness or your rear shocks and also adjust both of your bike's front fork to solve the problem of going through hump. Try not to go through kerbs as most of the kerbs are too high and sure to hit the header or belly pan....

1. due to wear & tear, i believe ur fuel jet needs replacement. fuel consumpsen has nothing to do with ur carb tunning, carb tunning only adjust the air intake during combustion, the fuel output into the carbs r controlled by the fuel jet.

 

2. its normal but to be more precise, the vibration starts ard 5.5K rpm when the valve is about to open, so in order to avoid the vibration, either go faster or slower & stay out of the range.

 

3. its normal also cause ur pistions r gng at such high speed, it'll cause ur bike to vibrate mah

Tuning of the carb does not really involve tuning of the air intake. Tuning is done on the slow yet which controls the amount of fuel entering your carb during idling -> 1/4 throttle. Opening this too big will increase fuel consumption.

This jet will remain open throughout your throttle range.

 

Due to my limited knowledge on carbs, this is as far as i can go.

You may one to get a 2nd opinion on the tuning.

Another way is to look at your plugs colour.

 

Oh yeah. One more thing. How old is your bike and when was the last time you washed ur carbs?

Although petrol may contain small particles which may wear out your main jet and needle jet, this normally happens over long periods of time. Please ensure that they are really damaged (get your mech to show it to you) before agreeing to change it. If they change before asking you, then charge you for it... oh well...

I just got the bike in Jan.. The carbs were sent for tuning when i took over the bike..

 

Not sure of the previous history of maintanence.. Dun think much was done..

 

I'm planning to take the bike for servicing soon.. so build up on prior knowledge first.

My rear brake...what you call it? The whole braking metal/mechanism@# Was it caliper?? Can shake abit left & right like it is loose even after screw tightened...Dangerous or not? Serious? IF yes what need to change? How much?

 

Coolent silver metal pipe..the one at the top left and right ..the right one has Coolent dripping abit every morning when I push the bike out of parking to warm it up...Serious or not? What need to change?

 

My top block on the inner left side..facing the carburator..seen some oil stain at the gasket area..Does that mean leaking? If yes..Serious or Not? Need to change what?Price? he..he....

 

Bike regularly daily basis ..ride top speed till meter needle sleep to the other end like facing 5pm on the clock...need to take great care of bike...100-120km run daily.. I use Power1 semisyn/EO every 5K change...Will changing to Full syn do any better favour to my bike for the kind of riding??

when was e last time u change ur brake pads?usually i notice if my brakes pads r wear out...e brake caliper will move a bit left n right..

 

if ur using e normal ceramic brake pads..usually there is depth lines indicatin e amt of u can use left...or u can jus change ur brake pads n it wld be ok..i saw some1 sellin ferodo brakes for $5 bucks somewhere wic is jus a week old..maybe u can get from him n change it...abt e rest...me not sure..cheers

I ride at 70km/hr only...please please dont blow2 at me or overtake me dangerously....wait i change into Incredible Hulk n dont know why my little baby bike will always be ahead of u if u do that

- Might be a hole in ur hose or the clips are loose.. Take a look in the morning which part is leaking...

- Should be ur gasket worn out.. Change a new gasket might help...

 

But for better answer to your question, Why not go to a reliable mech and give a check on ur bike? This case u can also ride in ease after all the problem is solve..

Ever since i self skidded, my cornering is very unstable. The handle bar turns too easily with minimum resistance.

 

I've already replaced the steering cone bearing, checked the forks, tyres, tyre pressure and chain but the prob is still there.

 

One bike shop told me to replace my front rim which i am pretty sure isn't the prob.

 

Anyone knows whats going on?

need to check.

i've done a coolant flush recently with Engine Ice.

 

LAtely, I've realised that im losing a lot on mileage. down to about 17km/h from 25km/h.

 

i'm not sure, but could this be the reason for my low mileage?

just bought a 2nd hand FW spec 2

 

carb serviced

 

spark plug changed

 

air filter (KNN) checked

 

okay now the problem is

 

whenever the rpm reach 5100 in any gear

 

or even neutral gear

 

the exhaust sound JERK!!

 

this problem make the bike not smooth

 

when travel more then 80km/h...

 

pls help!!!
