ever tried wacking first gear to 70 then kicking up to 6th:angel:

Seriuosly!...I do strongly recomend Edition and you to do it. Find a clear isolate place to do so if you dare not do it on our daily road. tell your sell its "Ramo traing the commando" step one. End of the day..you appreciate it taht you gain lots of condifence in handling your bike for what its build for  ...yah!...but I'm seriously.

Won't say its an "objective" but to get out of the nutshell situation rather..."guts building".

Kmax said.."me so scare one... :P"

Owning a S4 and having the lack in confidence of handling it in speed can be a hazard in a way. I am not saying that one should ride like a hell rider but at least to a point...have some "command and control" of your ride and live in fear of speed.

If handling a S4 like the way its handle like class 2b..one would be better off (safer) with a Class 2b bike as its lighter and more controllable in a traffic crisis situation. One has to be decsive and quick in response when the circumstances called for. If you are not in control of a 53hp and 350lb machine when the situation calls for...you are missing something.

Get use to some speed handling with the S4, feel the trust and power , feel how fast these 'beast' can be stop and your ability to control it at high speed and how it behave and how you would use it when in that critical unexpected movement...etc.

In short..understand your bike and what its build for and have that grit and guts while you horse it.

hor ... who dare win and survival situation awareness

jus a personal experience to share... think u guys should know Petronas and Caltex in JB. i had used both of their petrol on a long term basis and i found tat Petronas does combust better than Caltex but mileage wise Caltex is better... meaning same amount of petrol but Caltex gives better mileage than Petronas... my 2 cents...

Well...the first I heard after distributing to some of you and at any rate, I do anticipate this to come long. Can you tell me how do you gauage your fc?

when you mentioned that you travel to town everyday...I assumed you work in the city and road run are short rather than continuos. If there is a lot of start/stop due to the number of traffic lights and volume of traffics..I can't really say much except that when you wheels don't move, noting clicks and accumulatively, most fuel is gone into idling waste and throttle twitching..no rolls also contribute to the overall.

If you are doing city riding..there are other factor that is of concern..like heat build up causing higher engine heat and each time you move on, your speed does not do justice to engine cooling fins and radiator tubings where ram air is needed most. Things get so hot and fuel be dried out before it gets to be combusted. Also to note that the air intake from your airfliter after the airduct is hot too.:(

Green oil should work for you really.:thumb:

:faint: :giddy:

Please note that its not meant to work as if is an Octane booster additive and does not contribute the the increase in ron values. It reformulates your fuel and provide cleansing and prevent carbon build up and has some lube properties...and yet mixed with fuel, its combustable. You should feel the smoothness and a tigher engine feel, better power pull off after power band. However, if you are in the 1st to 6 year in range of 4.6 to 6 rpm riding style..you ain't using your bike and the oil ride...Pulser be a better choice for you in city riding..one Pulser user clock an extra 1.8 km/liter after using 10 ml in his second full tank try out.:cheeky:

At any rate...so much can only be said and its a proven product. Btw..you can also return the empty bottle for your money refund :cheeky: if it does not work for you..just pm me for it will do.:thumb:

hi ah_pek, i always pump when the fuel indicator bar flash (shows that fuel is at reserve),

mileage is always 270-280km (i've set the trip meter to zero at each pump)

and i have to pump 14L (puls/minus a few decimal point)

that i calculate fuel consumption is about 20km/l

before and after green oil is the about the same result. no significant improvement (like 10-20 km per tank fc improvement)

and i am not complaining ah_pek, i am willing to test out the product and share my result after using it.

i have to travel to CBD area in rush hour 8am and 6pm, which is bumper to bumper traffic, even squeezing between cars at walking speed...

and i didnt get super4 for it's full potntial everyday, just to catchup with my friends on occasional trips up-north. which i've cleared meter and butt-sore long hour rides.

Seriuosly!...I do strongly recomend Edition and you to do it. Find a clear isolate place to do so if you dare not do it on our daily road. tell your sell its "Ramo traing the commando" step one. rev gear 1 to 70km ? that really i dont utilize each and every gear to high rpm. infact i havnt reach 13k rpm yet, the max is 12.5k rpm and throttle reached it's end already.

That is actually to me very good and I believe you can do much better if your routine routes of travel has much less traffics lights like CTE or most expressway..or leave early where traffics are less..unfortrunately that's not the case. Usually, fc is at its best if your bike is in reasonably good condition cruising consistenly at 90 to 100 km/h. Prevent having engine braking and use rolls helps too.

before and after green oil is the about the same result. no significant improvement (like 10-20 km per tank fc improvement)

I believe that's true...hmmmm...looks like it athreshold situation. I must admit that its can be difficult given your routine route of travel daily to town..no one day traffic situation are ever the same nor the number of red for traffics light. If ever you can..just see if its of any help in the near future you go up country to Malaysia, do your constant riding somewhat randomly at 100 to 120 km/h and occasiona 140 km/h short trip with green oil in the first tank after you pump..like to know the result with there's anyimprovement, if not, that mean to say your bike is operating at its best and don't need green oil then..no problem sponsoring you a bottle for this :)

and i am not complaining

I know and never taken it that way either...it just that I have to let you know the money refund policy the product carries as you are entitle to it thru me. Thanks for the "test out"...it does benefit me to know how green oil can be most effective applied..in your case..city bumoer to bumper siyuation.

Think not that I said rev to 70km..you hit "overdrive" mode which is a waste in fuel..but I would say "drag to 7-8 rpm and change gear up next to 3rd as you would experience mild engine braking at 2nd gear when you clutch transit. Not at every start/stop but as and when you can.

Not sure about "power cut-off" version (limiting rpm) but at 12.5k rpm..that's great!..al least you are using your engine full range :)

Like to know at what speed you were doing then when at 12.5k rpm?...can you recall?..if not, its ok.

something to share... What is PTFE???

In chemistry, poly(tetrafluoroethene) or poly(tetrafluoroethylene) (PTFE) is a synthetic fluoropolymer which finds numerous applications. PTFE's most well known trademark in the industry is the DuPont brand name Teflon.

Water and water-containing substances like most foods do not wet PTFE, therefore adhesion to PTFE surfaces is inhibited. Due to this property PTFE is used as a non-stick coating for pans and other cookware. It is very non-reactive, and so is often used in containers and pipework for reactive and corrosive chemicals. Where used as a lubricant, PTFE reduces friction, wear and energy consumption of machinery.

Sound contracdicting to me..you said you "..oso like to dun bother the consumption"..yet you are clocking and monitoring your fc and hoping at least you get 20km/litre..:giddy:

cau whenever i pump i will reset my tracking den i see le very sian mah .. sorry to those find me irritating abt my fuel consumption .. cau i feel uneasy with the consumption i have .. which let me think tt my bike gt problem mah .. .. i will take hell fury advice to unique to let them chk ..

ah pek: i did take ur advice abt riding style .. which i did adopt till now .. had slight improvement from my previous riding style .. as my previous riding style gif me 16km/liter n ur advice which i adopt gif me 17km/litre .. n with 17km/litre i alway had the thinking that my bike is unhealthy .. and unhealthy = unsafe oso ..

Very good when engineered as an additive for engine oil treatment..dry mesh only. Clutch slippage when use with wet mesh.

im doing 2 fuel consumption test with regards to riding style. i have completed the first test, now im on the 2nd one.

The first test was riding really hard(ie opening vtec at every opportunity i got) thru a journey which had few traffic lights.

my findings: my fuel consumption dropped to 17km/l

now im riding very conservatively(ie open vtec only once in a while) and trying to improve my fuel consumption. so far after riding 80km, it still shows full bar. by next week i shud know how much i've clocked.

yep, you have adviced me to rev up once in awhile, but it was hellsfury suggested to drag to 70km/h :p

if i'm not wrong rpm was close to 13k at gear 5 (i was dragging gears), then changed to gear 6 and dropped back to 12.5k, speed was 160-170.

from there, gradually (not instantly) go upto 190, but rpm remains at 12.5k.

Btw...what makes you need to "rebuild" the shocks?...is it wobbling when you take corners or with extra load behind?

Have you set your spring preload to the next higher level?..or is it leaking oil?:dot: Can cost up to $300 maxs..something I did 6years ago but no regrets till date.

KYB is the cheapest among the lot at about $500 to $550. Spring is blue in colour and the shock is a bit shorter.

I don't use any petro from our neighbouring country but what I have to say does not matter from which country it comes from.

I find what you said here is rather contradictory..or strange. You said Petronas combust better than Caltex but Caltex gives better mileage. By right in theory..better combustion give sbetter mileage...anf in this case Petronas should be doing better for mileage. My question here is how do you determine that Petronas has "good combustion"?
