ur bike can travel 65-70km/h at 6th gear?

what's the slowest speed for the 650 to travel on 6th gear without jerking?

but if i ride at tat speed on 5th, it's a lil dragging..

Yah I think the gear ratio for Strom not v friendly. Quite a big jump from 5-6 gear.............better over-rev 5th gear than hear funny sound at 6th gear will spoil bike I think. Eitherway the overdrive should be on so should not waste too much petrol also.................I THINK...........

just to check again...

is the stock strom speedo out of calibration or only out when u change to different sprocket size...?

mamaqye >>> we'll be meeting up regarding the 12th april trip on 10th april tuesday nite around 9pm....is that fine with u?

Advisable all servicing to be done before that. Currently including u got 4 strommy going, all 1k.

Anyone know's whats the fuel consumption like when travelling at constant 140-160km/h at 6th gear.

I've tried 100km/h for 200km straight around 21-22km/litre. Quite a good ratio.

regarding the speedo error, it affects all stock stroms and it's not standard thruout..

for example, the lower the speed the lesser the error but at speed above 110km/hr, it'll be a diff of 10km/hr..

there are 2 solutions, one is to get the speedohealer and the other is to juz change the face of the speedo n tacho wif this..

http://www.jackphelps.com/vstrom/speedoface.htm

it's reprinted to read the actual speed wif only 7.7% error..

neat huh? :D

ibbster >>> Thanks. At least now can gauge my petrol spending.

mamaqye >>> My friend made a tailored suit in Phuket. Maybe u can zoomed to Phuket on the way up. From my estimation, if you can manage 190km/h all the way to Phuket. U can just get it in time and still join us in Hatyai.

See u on Tuesday night.

xanc >>> My tyres show 41 psi if i'm not wrong. U should check urs, should be the same.

desmokat >>> 180km/h already my front tyre fishtail. I think i'm too light.

Any other strommers want to join for meet up on Tuesday night. Venue yet to confirm. Should be after 9pm.

that's the max u can pump i guess...

usually will pump a bit lower than the markings on the tyre..depends on the weight u put on the bike also...

my front one is around 38-40...
