I dun think so. Unique is selling 23.5K before the rise of the COE. So most likely it is around 24.5 or 25.5k..

Yeah last time the expensive price is now the cheap price...

But what about the new ARF tax? Does it affect bikes like S4?

Even at 25k..its double of the price way back during version S time. I bought

my brand new ST1100 last time for 24k only. Haha..now bike price is crazy..lucky i held on to my fjr now..

Both figures I posted are based on the new ARF tax. The OEM of S4 is around $8k, so pay about $1.2k more (based on the calculator).

Let's do some maths

Machine price of S4 ~$16,000

50% tax for omv ~9,000 = $750 (1st 15%) + $2000 (calculation = ($9000 omv- $5000 1st15%)*50%)

= 2750

= 16000+2750+8000 = $26,750. Dealer needs to have some profit, so... Add about 500-1000... Addinsurance, road tax, registration plate... Yeah about 30k.

Pasted some links here. The omv is in feb 17... So the arf charged is the old price.

The is an example of bike shop who I have been going against.

I am sure he is more knowlegable than that to quote s S4 being 30k.

He obviously know TS has been away from the market too long . Quote the price anyhow.

If i were you, run NO . start my bike and never come back

The arf in your link is the latest, but the COE price is not.

Guess I might be wrong but I thought machine price = omv?

Also, what is the 8000 in the calculation? Arf based on omv of 16000 (didn't u already used 9000 as omv)?

All the costs are published by LTA ... just need to adjust the COE price to the latest

and here's for the OMV only :

It cost the bike dealers less than 20K to bring in the Super 4 including COE.

Liverpool revival has started....

Machine price is not omv... Unfortunately... so if u lose a new bike... Insurance only pays omv... Hehe...

8000 is the estimated new coe... Hopefully it will come back down soon.

Absolutely ridiculous....I used to ride in the past. No wonder so many people go buy electric bike and ride dispite it's dangerous and illegal.

We won't know what is the actual machine price.

OMV is the cost of buying the bike from the manufacturer + cost of shipping it to Singapore port (before passing thru' custom).

To pass thru' Singapore custom, add Duty (12% of OMV) + GST (7% of OMV).

Your link to the calculator is quite good, approx. what I calculate.

If S4 is really selling for 30K now, then the profit by the importer & seller is around $10K.
