Tried only 1 and will only stick to 1..Pirelli Dragon Supercorsa Pro SC 2. :thumb:

I have a friend who used Dragon Supercorsa, Racetec, Michelin..in his opinion, Supercorsa ranks no 1, Racetec close 2nd, Michelin Power Race no. 3..reason being Power Race don't lasts that long for budget track goer even thou the grip is superb..Pirelli good grip and lasts longer..better value for money..

Thats his opinion thou..Mine still Pirelli..

Link to an online m/cycle store for the Sportmax GP tyres:

http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/28/394/14049/ITEM/Dunlop-Sportmax-GP-A-Rear-Tire.aspx

It cost US$411.98 for a pair!!! That is also after a discount on the rear tyre. It equals to SGD$626.20 based on a 1.52 exchange rate.

Every Rider got his preference, infact the best tires might not be good for us, example slicks aint good for slow to normal riders and the cornering profile of the tire is different. For me I find SC2 saved my ass from many countless mid corner slides due to opening the gas too early to catch / overtake the rider infront. But it costs extra $$$ then other tires in its range.

guys whats the difference between dragon sc and diablo sc?

Diablo SC is the higher end tire.

Both Dragon SC and Diablo SC IMHO are great tires but costly when compared to the rest being considered here.

My vote goes to Diablo SC. :thumb:

diablo sc is a newer version of dragon sc.. different in lean angle to me.. and diablo costs 100+ bucks more than dragon..

But i heard stuff that their balancing of tyres doesn't seem good.

I bought my tyres there. But i didn't do my installation there.

Yo AMBA!!!!

I just got my hands on a new pair of Sportsmax D208GP, but I will double check if it's the GP Sportsmax Qualifier or not. 120/70-17, 190/55-17. I only know the rear had this special compound and needs to be run at 21psi cold. Front is the usual 31psi deal.

I got it for USD$225. What happened was, on a trackday, some Dunlops guys were selling off these DOTs not used for AMA SuperSports. The pair I got was meant for Roger Lee Hayden, but he back out due injuries. There were 2 pairs for sale, and my fren took the other pair.

Will save it when I am ready to do trackday on the 08 R1 I picked up a month ago. Inline felt too smooth now, after all these V twin and single cylinder.

So is it raining tyres in Singapore? With deals from HKL, I honestly think it's close to that....cheapest track tyre is BT002 here, around USD$300 and mounting/balancing cost around an additional USD$60. And the BT002 is a "DOT Wannabe" cuz it's street compound, no selection.

I think the Shinko Stealth 003 you recommended before for Drag Racing may be a good choice for me....cheap and good, USD$200 a pair or less.

Keep that mohawk going (seen that a lot here, kindda makes me think of you), and the knees dragging!

Hilary.

hey bro, rock on man!

after 208GP, there was 209GP then the sportmax qualifer GP! only that this tyres are not off the shelve in sg...and expected to be very expensive to order in.

i was lucky to try this tyres as one of the races i took part in used controlled tyres.

welcome to the yamaha club man

Anyways, the Dunlops I got sitting in the garage are indeed the D209 Sportsmax GP front and D211 rear with NTec. Too much "tyre" for me.....I'm slow!

So I must try the Shinko before I try the Dunlops.
