When I happened to see his thread on SBF, I was really sad. He was actually planning to go to North Thai and Laos in Jan. My condolences to his family as well...

The irony is,

 

He died not because he was riding!

 

He just help me out w my punchured tyre(by escorting me from my house to the petrol station+do up my tyre) exactly the week before he passed on.

 

& most of our dirtriders community got to meet him for the last time at Prata Place at Upper Thomson Rd for supper 2 weeks before he passed on too..., he shared with us about "Promise & Principle when owening something from others" & he told us abt his next trip going up to China Border with Wei Jie. He just said: "Can be done wan...."

 

I still cuden believe that he's gone.

 

Without people like you, Newbies will "DIE" getting disturbed, teased & bullied by those arrogant, selfish-some experience riders.

i will always remember the days of being a dirt bike newbie and him helping me out and teaching me.

 

we went endau rompin with wei jie and other big bikes. he allowed me to ride and give me tips on how to clear potholes. "Just open throttle and you feel like flying over the pothole" Pillioned each other at the off road trails and then come to the mud pool, i open throttle, slipped in it. had a good laugh.

 

when i finally took out my ktm out from bike shop, couldn't put the bike up on main stand. called lawrence and within mins he arrived. called ah seng to check if he has side stand, and accompanied me down ah seng shop to get the stand changed.

 

lawrence, you are a good friend who has gone too soon. you will be terribly missed.

A terrible tragedy that i will not forget...20/05/2010

 

I was just heading home with a friend after midnight supper and was travelling along Woodlands Ave 9 when we saw a big commotion...Blinkers from police cars lit up the place like orchard road on christmas...First thought it was a road block but as we get closer then realize its an accident...

 

I saw two white cloth covering soaking red, the upper torso which was at the opp 3 lane road and the lower torso on grass dividing the roads...the bike (white Fazer, with a red bull design i think) of the rider was easily 80m away from the mangled body...Bits and pieces of helmet were scattered on the roads...How the accident happened i do not know but i was distraughted by it....

 

My condolences to the family and friends of this unknown rider...May He Rest In Peace...

 

To my fellow SBF people, Just a thought from this humble life of mine, we are not the one who suffers when we die but our parents, brothers, sisters, friends, lovers, wives and husbands that suffer the pain in this mad mad world we live in now. So this is what i want to share. Take Care Guys...

Well the risk of riding a bike.. Either you hit something, or something hit you or you lose control of your bike.. All these will lead to an accident.. And if you are lucky, you survive it and your bike most likely will be more damaged then you.. If you dont survive, both you and your bike will be damaged beyond repair...

 

All I can say is no matter how safe you ride, when you time is up the "grim reaper" will come to collect your soul..
