erm, i not sure about you guys bike. but for mine, the response is damn slow when i moving off from traffic light. i close and open throttle then okie already. but i went to my mech, he say is my overflow pin in carb spoil. so i wash my carb and change the pin. after that everything is fine.

you all can try throttle once before move off, see whether it helps. if not might be the air/fuel pin didn't set correctly.

if i'm wrong, don't bomb me. just helping around. :D

cheers!

I riding S4 revo but my engine timing seems to be 1400rpm. Is this normal?

Usually we always set it to around 1100-1200rpm. And I can't find anywhere to adjust the timing in my bike. Any help?

1.4k is before or after warm up? if before.. it a bit too high.. coz after warm up will be higher..

if after then i think still acceptable but 1.2 is ideal gua..

the idling knob is near the carb.. u just have to feel it.. dunno how to tell u where.

It's not recommended to adjust the timing by yourself. Go to your nearest bike shop to rectify the problem.

erm, is because the overflow pin is old. thus got this problem. when you going to wash your carb, ask the mech to change it also. your bike will be okie by then.

Thanks for the info. so the momentary lag when moving off is likely due to old overflow pin. btw, usually when is a good gauge to noe that we need to wash the carb?

i heard from a mech that don't have to always wash carb. wash and tune it properly can ride it for a long time.
