Yalah then me leh? Indicator problem? 180km left 1 bar. So i topped up full tank and it's only 10L. Meaning there's still 6L inside my tank. How could there be 6L in my tank when my indicator shows 1bar? = S

when my meter starts flashing, i only able to top up 12L, about 240km, sometimes less.

one day i got sick of topping up every 240km, decided to go further before topping. end up i rode till 320+km, topped up 16L. (my bike FC not good :( )

 

the meter not accurate, so just calculate ur mileage and be confident of your bike. Hahaha

You're just paranoid bro.. Lol! Does your radiator fan turns on when its quite hot?

 

on expressway it does.. but when on normal street riding it turns on.. the heat emitted is the same for both city and xpressway riding.. haha.. i rmb ahpek telling me my radiator is not that gd, coz when he pour in the new coolant, must wait for a few seconds for the coolant to flow down before pouring more..

mine is oso quite jialat.. i tried b4 290km and all my fuel dried up.. was struggling going to the nearest petrol station..

 

As i can remember last time i encounter faulty fuel meter reading on my CBR150. the meter will not show full when i refuel fuul tank. at the end found is the 'float switch' in the tank spoiled. change the float switch solve the problem. i wonder ur all might have the similar prob?? the float switch is install underside of tank and got an arm into the tank with float(something similar system u can see in the toilet watertank) the switch itself got mech to detect the Electric current to determine the fuel level. So ur might want to have a check on that??

Dude you riding a vtec 2? i'm also facing the same situation, the bike gets unaturally hot after expressway riding and normal road traffic start-stop.

I've already got it check out, my mech says that my fan is working ( i can hear it kicking in), and i changed my thermostat. So i don't know if its because the weather is getting hotter or is my skin area around my thighs and legs getting more sensitive. Haha.

 

Me thinks me got to check it out tomorrow just to play safe. I don't want the engine to catch fire and my balls on fire too.

my bike when riding in the afternoon, can feel the heal on my thigh near the "Hyper Vtec" bracket there.. its quite hot.. sometimes cant tahan, but the strange thing is, the bike is so hot and no temperature indicator comes on? or am i just paranoid? because my previous bike was a tzm so doesnt really feel tt much heat on my legs

 

well bro, my spec 1 has the same problem too. My leg always get scalded by the 'engine' area. I can hear my fan working though, coz its very loud, the temp indicator doesnt comes on too. Try top up ur coolant and check up ur radiantor regularly. Or maybe change a better coolant? i hear theres a coolant call 'ice coolant' works pretty gd, especially for long rides. But i duno about the price though.

 

Anyone know how much and where to get that?

i riding a spec 1 bro.. yes its getting hot.. i think my radiator isnt doing its job well enough.. as i mentioned, when pouring coolant into radiator, it wont flow down smoothly, nid to wait for a few seconds b4 the coolant flow down den i can top up more.. as told my Ah Pek, my radiator isnt that good already..

icic.. im using the coolant by Ahpek.. hes a guru in super 4s.. well its a car brand coolant called merc benz i think..:bounce:

i alos do hav e problem for my spec3 but smtimes e blink full bar or just 1 bar missin after i top up full tank,so how i also dnt knw how to calculate my mileage as it is not accurate due to my faulty mileage bar..

Okay then. Now my indicator shows reserve. But when I shake2 my bike, I can hear the splish splashing of my fuel. So still got fuel inside. I wait till got a bit splish splash inside my tank then I go top up. Thats how you do too?

The fuel meter is probably one of the most irritating component on the s4, hardly accurate. But i guess assuming if your s4 is stock even with aftermarket endcan it should achieve 300km worst case scenario on a full tank. But everytime my meter starts to flash my heart will sink and balls tighten; praying that i won't be caught on the road with an empty tank.

 

But everytime i pump fuel, i still got 5 more litres left. I love the way this machine surprises me.

i wondering why my radiator fan is not working after i have travelled 20km and my leg feel very hot at the engine area? isit normal? how to test it?

But i guess assuming if your s4 is stock even with aftermarket endcan it should achieve 300km worst case scenario on a full tank. But everytime my meter starts to flash my heart will sink and balls tighten; praying that i won't be caught on the road with an empty tank.

 

But everytime i pump fuel, i still got 5 more litres left. I love the way this machine surprises me.

 

Means u refuel only 13L full oredy? Our tank with reserve is 18L. :) as for me can ran till ard 371km then refuel full tank 16L :)

Any one install handle bar riser?? it rise up ard 1' and shifted towards rider ard 1'. Any feedback/review?? i just bought one and found need to change longer brake line too to install the riser.

 

Also bought a 3rd party windscreen similar to Puig Naked screen. with 2 brackets but no screws. need to find the screws myself.

ya i feel the same too, at least 300km.. my bar will start to flash liao. then i let it go for 80km more before i pump still only like 16L probably can hit 400km.
