Hi guys, anybody's fuel cap hard to open? Normally sometimes I need to pull afew times to open to refill my petrol. But the last fill was so bad trying to pull open until after refilling I realised I can't insert my ignition key and turn it. I had to use the helmet keyhole to bend back my key so it can fit. I used to loosen the 3 fuel cap screws abit and spray lubricant into fuel cap keyhole but seems strange that I have to do that. Is anybody having the same problem or only me? Thank you

erm.. maybe I removed my tank sometime ago but I been refilling my tank with some problem until the most recent one. DIdn't intake pipe will cos so much problem. Will try to check again Thanks

Ya. Everytime I also twist, shut and realign again to make it open but this time was so bad and cars were waiting ard to pump petrol so I no choice pull hard to force open. Imagine you see one dumbass stucked at the petrol station without refilling petrol but trying to figure out how to open the fuel cap. hahaha.

Yeah, go shop better ask them. Hehe... And always have a duplicate key with you.

imagine when you got a dup key and the original key break and stuck inside the fuel cap, worst still you need to pump urgently and only got enough fuel to go 1km more... den lan lan no choice need to use allen key to open the whole fuel cap and top up....

 

can you imagine that?? lol

I have a prob.. I went to my bike shop yest. I wanted to check my coolant, the mech opened up my side panels and saw tat ters no more coolant.. So i told him to flush and xhange to wngine ice. He washed everything and when he wanted to top up the engine ice, the bike intake of it is very slow. Till he told me to come on monday to check y its flowing very slow. Wat is d problem? He requests me to come on monday and have it checked out. Wat could be the problem?? Coolant hoses?? D fan and all is still werking.. Just tat d coolant dun flow in tat smoothly

I got the same problem last time. The airflow very slow cus there's clooging in the hoses itself. What you could DIY is:

1. Take out your tank

2. The front part got the silver color cover for the radiator right? Open it.

3. On the bottom left side of your bike there's a hose also, loosen the screw and take out, let the coolant flow.

4. Then using bottle/funnel, pour tap water from the top a few times and let it run out of the bottom part. (Do that a few times).

 

Hmm.. I think that's what I can remember liao.. Haha... And one more thing. When your mech say coolant flow very slow, did he straighted up your bike or on sidestand. Cus side stand coolant flow will be more slower than upright. (that's what I've experienced with my bike).

ALright thx for all the input. I'll just change the batt for $150 lah... Hehe... My fc left 1 bar, i pumped full. It reads 10litres. Ah pek say got another 5 litres in my tank. So it should be my indicator prob?

 

Did u try to ride d bike till reserve then pump and see if can pump in 15 litres??

Nope, not yet. THat's also what ah pek told me. To push for another 90km and monitor. I never pumped JB petrol before...:cheeky:

 

mine 1 bar = around 5 liter allow me to go for 100km more at least

Yalah then me leh? Indicator problem? 180km left 1 bar. So i topped up full tank and it's only 10L. Meaning there's still 6L inside my tank. How could there be 6L in my tank when my indicator shows 1bar? = S

 

 

My FC problem solved. Main culprit is my float sensor!!! Thx for the help and advices guys... :angel:

The internal key hole structure may be too worn out liao..may have to change your tank fuel access cap. A new key won't help unless its the teeth of the key that is worn.:sian:

Your radiator partially clogged with rust. He may be getting a flush chemical for you..dunno. You one to solve problem once an for all..get a new radiator and make sure it's good coolant is use and if concentrated type..make sure it is mixed with distilled water..otherwise new radiator also starts to rust again. Some so call "**g**eice" are very diluted..could be mixed with tap water...good luck.:sian:

Seems like a common problem. I once told a mech and he loosen the fuel cap screws only

 

Yeah, go shop better ask them. Hehe... And always have a duplicate key with you.

the most recent event I pulled until the whole original honda key bent and unable to slot into the ignition keyhole sia. THat is why scare liao. hahaha

Sian man, if I remembered correctly this problem like there liao. Spray what kinda lub best as not to affect my carbs? I always remove the whole fuel cap to spray and let dry. If I change the fuel cap hole then I need to carry 2 different keys

got my engine oil changed by ahpek.. the inclusion of x1r and green oil(sponsored by ahpek.. thanks) really makes my throttle even smoother.. acceleration is fabulous.. when cruising, it was so smooth that i didnt realise i am going to hit 120km/hr only when i hear my vtec opens.. thanks ahpek.. every single cents well spent

How do i check for tat??

 

DURING flushing radiator, open ur throttle, see if the coolant flow down anot..

correct me if i m wrong, i only thinking it..
