There was one night about 11.30pm on a deserted stretch of PIE, i accelerated a bit more and rode at about 110km/h (gear 6, vtec on) for 10seconds, suddenly the engine died. Throttle totally no response. (Its as if i pressed on the engine kill switch. ) I quickly signal left and let the bike free wheel onto road shoulder. Turn off ignition key, and turn back on, push start, and everything back to normal. Dunno what happened though.:faint:

Happened to me b4 but mine when turn off ignition and back on,push start cannot start, need to on/off the engine kill switch then can start again. and its not the first time.:sian:

wanna ask all the old birds.. some time ago, my bike cannot start due to some problem to the starter carbon as a result i have to knock the round thingy on the left side then can start alrdy, otherwise have to push start.. but some kuku shop change for me then have even 3 months have to knock again... not even 1 year this is the 3rd time i changing the starter carbon, went to another more reputable shop and say might be the starter motor.. any suggestions?

A conclusion is what you get when you get tired of thinking

The possibility is there but knocking normally meant to shake of any carbon dust but not the coil inductor (amature if that's what its call). Did you observe them when they were doing it..like using compress air to blast the starter motor amature and its inner housing?..could be carbon dust still trapped inside..just a guess.:sian:

If you look at the starter motor from the fontal top, there is a wire like connection with a insulator cap cover..see if you can slightly lift it off a bit and see if the connection are proper..what about the starter relay?

No..nothing to do or near the tank. The starter motor is just a small cyclinder thing like sitting on top of your crank case and behind the engine block. Should be able to see from the right side of ur bike.
