I had spent 3 days reading through this thread, and will be getting a DRZ-SM soon.

Hope to join you guy in touring, tracking and trailing in near future.

 

And yes, I have noticed that my nick is similar to a Senior DRZ rider / moderator. I'm not his clone.

just get H&B one.. in case you itchy wanna upgrade.. so might as well once and for all buy H&B..

 

happens to me when i bought GIVI, then upgrade to H&B.. almost similar prices..

 

lugi quite a lot becuz the givi boxes and rack does not fetch good 2nd hand prices..

anyone a newbie in drz like me..??

 

hmmm...extremely,insanely,evryday daydreamingly hope to be a newbie this DEC dat is if can get good offer lah..my budget only 7k-8k(3k cash+reloan)...dont know can get or not....(sigh.....)

a K5 or K6 should be in your budget thou.. maybe a K7..

Any major difference between those models other than year of production of cuz?...

all years are same in engine specs from K5 onwards..

only K5 is normal handlebar(7/8 inch) while K6 onwards is fatbar(1 1/8 inch)..

all years have different colours..

 

beside that, agent and parallel import models had some slight differences..

ask u guys, for those who had gone for the annual inspection, does the DRC tail and tail light pass inspection? i know 20 yrs ago if scram has no tail except for the license plate as a tail will fail the inspection. thxs to share any pointers or tips.

drc lights and signals will pass.. but you will fail the mud flap portion.. either tell motorshop to send for you or add a mud flap before you go for inspection..

if u wanna ride the bike for at least 3 yrs, get a new one, but its all to personal preference
