ohhh.... hi andrew can i steal your meter... kinda like it a lot...

just another small info for everyone... erm... ever checked out a ktm525? well about time you should. their meters looks better than the stock ones on DRZSM or S model. if you still love digital, maybe you can buy that one instead. cost about 200 odd i think... if i didnt remember wrongly. function wise about the same.. most importantly it's smaller.

at least it will not hang like bicycle meters! but then again i don't know how much is the bicycle meters though...

yUP.. The 05 ktm digital meter cost around $2++.04 models (Bigger type) cost around $3++.The meter price does not include the cable, sensor and magnet, but overall is much cheaper and compact than drz meters.

Can buy the Sigma bicycle meter from Chin Swee area at $50 bucks, +/- a few $ here and there depending upon what features you want.

The DRZ meter is a digital read out, but has the traditional speedo cable driving it.

The KTM meter is nice and slim and for just a few $$, maybe $10, can rig up your own sensor and magnet system which is very reiable. I done this and tested this on my 525 in off-road conditions and it is still workiing.

So can PM me for more details.

Na I not pushing the Sigma speedo, my sigma speedo broke when I dropped my bike, after messing up a table top, I wasn;t even attemptting to jump, not really bulllet proof.

I have a mechanism for wiring up a magnetic sensor + pick up if yo decide to use a digital speedo. No need to drill holes or things like that

i know... just asking.. heh.. but i'm pushing the KTM speedo.. it's really sweet.. and it has got a nice orange backlight.. very bright.. possibly brighter than the DRZ one..

the best thing is, the odometer doesn't hang after 99,999km. but then again... maybe you won't go that far...

how do we protect the alumite coating for the front forks?

Any of you guys know where i can get original or aftermarket plastics for my black DRZ here in sg or online? I went to Guan Hoe to enquire but it seems that they won't be bringing in any for the next 5 months. All they have are the other colors except black.

after removing the sticker and tool pouch from the rear fender, there seems to be some dull patches that i just can't seem to polish or wax off. The dull patches are also on the exhaust side. seems like glossy black ain't an easy color to jaga at all.

i wonder if they make all carbon plastic sets for our bike. sure to be expensive but it'll definitely compliment our black drzs. :hungry:

yea.. the other thing is this industrial handsoap. which is actually petroleum gel. apply like applying your kiwi...

eh jimmy... maybe you should try the army method.. apply black kiwi.. use hair dryer to melt down evenly or set it on fire.. then use facial cotton and water to polish shine  or you can try kiwi liquid polish!

note: above suggestion is a mindless suggestion. try at your own risk, bugo aka ryan is not responsible if your bike get reduced to ashes.

Hey Rick, I already tried Chong Aik and the only Acerbis rear fender they have there is also in yellow. Seems like there's other way than to get it online but i've searched like crazy and found none that carried the color i want. :nono:

Ryan, where can i get this petroleum jelly bar soap thingie? You won't believe the amount of money i've spent on plastic restoration products, wax and polishers and i still can't get a nice smooth finish. I'm beginning to think that the markings were already there prior to my purchase but it was covered by the tool pouch.

Kex, i just got back from another hour of arm aching, back breaking stain removing exercise but to no avail. Let me know where i can purchase this product and i'll give it one last shot.

Thanks guys! :nono:

Below are the products that i've tried but to no avail.
