May i know who's the guy with the black DRZ SM staying in Compassvale Cres?

Sir, Yes...Sir. You stay around there too?

Btw, guys i have read from somewhere that it is not necessary to clutch in when downshifting as there is very little torque on the gears when the throttle is off and you're slowing down, how truth is this?

Will it damage the clutch system? I also find the DRZ clutch action isn't very good, ie knotchy when cold and fald when hot. Anyone faces the same problem and how to improve it? :help:

Hi Roy, i went for my 2k oil just last week and i asked them to dump the semis and went for the fully synthetic instead. Since the agreement was for 3 free oil changes and the oil of their choice so i paid for 2 bottles of Castrol R4s. I've noticed significant smoother gear shifts. Those things cost abt 20bucks a bottle at the place where we bought our bikes but i'm pretty sure you can get them at 18 or lesser elsewhere. Maybe you might wanna try it out. It does not necessarily have to be castrols but fully synthetic's the way to go.

Cheers!

Jim

no chio lah. changed my bars to pro tapers, got the mcct installed at rick's the other day and just got my brake lines done today. now contemplating on the baja designs led tail light and race tech led turn signals. man, they cost a almost an arm. easily 200 sgd for the whole set including freight.

gonna go checkout ducati's raptor mirrors next week and see if they fit then it'll be the fmf powerbomb and some rd legal slip ons the next couple of months. see how things go. i'm really strapped for cash now, wish i can tio beh pio or toto. :giddy:

Papadum, you changed to full synthetic for the 2k oil change, does that mean you will not be changing engine oil for the next 3k~5k? If you are changing them for the next 1k km, that is not very cost efficient. Jus my opinion

Anyway, have just went for the oil change today and the clutch does feel better  . Yes, i guess i will be changing to fully synthetic but after the 3 free oil change. Just be more cost efficient as they are free anyway. A dollar save is a dollar more (in my wallet) :cheeky:

Thanks for the advice

Hi Roy, no choice leh. I'm the type that always wants the best for my baby. i don't think i'll change once every 1k but probably between 2 - 3k after my 3k oil change. I'm a firm believer that if you treat your bike well, it'd serve you well.

I might be buying some stuff from thumpertalk's store and if you still want the CFC case savers, you can tongpang me. Just drop me a pm.
