DRZ is not jialut, its a street legal model. While KTM is a Racing Four Stroke.

Its 2 different type of bikes.

DRZ is more like a Lexus, KTM is more like a Ford Mustang( aka Muscle car )

eh your one already made mosto fthe changes already... still got how jia lat.

anyway, whatever was mentioned is optional. the bike is still a nice ride w/o those mod. different people, different needs. I still can't decide what to ride after i've gotten a drz. maybe it's just me, i have no desire for other bikes at the moment.

Still gotta prepare your ezlink card readily if u wanna ride bikes like KTM/husky to work and for track. Say if the failure happens to be within engine, the MC for the bike can be like 1 month long. Repairs can be $1k++. Whereas for a DRZ, u certainly don't have to standby such money and plans. Thats all I can say, having tried both kind of bikes myself. I don't know whats the price difference of a new EXC400 and a DRZ SM. Say $4k? That 4k you can still spice up your DRZ with hotcams, e model gasket, FCR, street legal muffler, braided hoses, good set of tires and nice graphic kit to make the bike more worthy to compete with wr4/ktm4. Still, you gonna have the ease of mind from engine failures after these mods. Oil change on the safe side is about every 1500km on KTM and 2500km on a DRZ. We may think its justifiable, but not for another man. Better to state with figures.

with proper maintaince and good care, do these kinda engine break down happen often or likely to happen?

with good maintaince, how reliable is the bike.

got money to throw? buy anything u like. dun worry about what ppl say.

Just know what you are getting yourself into can already. religiously maintain your bike... no worries. ride the bike.. enjoy... have a ezlink on standby at all times.

Riders are naturally more daring then Drivers , cause Riders are constantly facing danger on the road.

Hi guys, i'll be dropping by on sat noon to get a new DRZ-SM, thinking of getting a black one. The yellow looks great (05 model), but the K7 yellow with blue kinda suck sorry to say. No offence to those who own a yellow. personal prefrences.

anything to take note of?

Any guidelines for the run in period? Is the run in for scramblers like the DRZ any different from street/sports bike? I've never run in a bike before, i'm ashamed to say this will be my first brand new bike after being through so many bikes

I'm thinking of hard run in, but I've heard of so many method till i'm blur now. so which method (hard run in) would you guys recommend for a DRZ? EO at which interval change? and how should I do it? I'd prefer to run it in myself rather than do a dyno run in.

could you guys pls explain? and I hope to join you guys in gatherings soon!

I got my quote from ASphoon upp changi Mark, he quote me one price, which is everything in... COE, reg fee, agreement fee, road tax, everything... EXCLUDING insurance only... $12.5K. interest 4% flat per annum. final price depends on your insurance premium.

put it in short, total its $12.5K + your insurance.

I think its a pretty fair deal. what you guys think of the price?

I personally favour that place as I've previously dealed with them over many bikes. they are transparent and are very flexible.

Not too long ago about 1year plus back, I bought a bike from another place as the offer seems good. I regret big time. the after sales service was so bad. I told myself I'll still go back to ASphoon for the next bike...

Some people have bad experience with ASphoon, but I'd recommend upp changi branch. the other branches... I've come across bad attitude and all that too...

So can anyone help me regarding my earlier post on running in the bike? thanks
