went to mustafa as suggested by u guys. got so many cheap laptop bags. bought 1 for 25, waterproof & lots of padding shld be quite comfy.

...wow, thread dug up eh?

Anyways, I did mention that I bought a bag from Mustafa.

Turns out, it was too darn ugly and bulky when I used it. Gave it to my dad to use.

Nice but instead of that wacky, stuck-out posture of that bag itself, can the shoulder straps be tightened so that my entire notebook essentially is "hugging" my back?

Got for myself a good timbuk2 beg. Using the Timbuk2 underground version...has laptop compartment inside. Got it for 179 bucks. I fateful day when riding, rained heavily, as usual i wore my arai raincoat. When i reach to my destination, shirt all wet despite raincoat but the contents of my Timbuk2 were dry. This despite a heavy downpour. I love my beg manzz.....anyway, thumbs up for Timbuk2. There are other brands like Ortlieb, Chrome, Gregory too.......u guys might wanna check out these brands as well. Warning though, they dun come cheap.

I want to see the world and i'm pretty sure the world wants to show a little something to me.

Yeah... thats THE BAG!! :thumb:

I was a user of TimBuk2 too back in year 2000, & still a user of the same 7 year old Sling bag. Used it for school, walking & cycling for dispatch, rain/storm or shine. Items in side are dry. DRY!!. High recommendable for such water proof bag that is seven years old. Its tad stiff (for my model back then, dunno abt now) as compared to its competitor crumpler in that era where such bags were rare.

Bght it for $120~$150 back in year 2000, delivered straight from US (wasn't available in SG back then) :cheeky:

My's yellow instead of silver though...

Due to the Japanese Bicycle Courier Movie, & to follow the "seh", my friend got a crumpler, while I got a Timbuk2 so we can swop to use. Only to discover its extreme waterproof capabilities (like the RS-Taichi rainbusters). Exterior or compartment design might or might not appeal to some. For waterproofing HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!

Thank You.

hi there.. just curious.. the TimBuk2 bags u guys talking abt.. Anything type also waterproof or only some models ??

Not sure about that. But the Cordura series is the one with highly water resistant fabric (& strength) with waterproof fabric (not coated on layer) on the inside.

If droplets from storms are bullets... I'll rate it bullet-proof :cheeky:

Thank You.

Checkout http://www.fallfactor.com. Thats where i got my bag. Bro mart, it depends on ur bike i guess. Every bike vibrates no matter what cc. Mine is Ta200, vibrate like hell u know. Tank bag put laptop....hmm, u think lah for urself how many moving parts ur lappy has. Optical drives, harddisk....hmm. I guess in the long run its not good lah. Why not get a backpack or topbox for ur storage needs.

I want to see the world and i'm pretty sure the world wants to show a little something to me.

Viewed the bag packs...quite big.

In the end, went to Mustafa and got myself a $55 flat-profile laptop bag.

Thanks for the suggestions! Will look into them when I'm ready to change bagpacks.

Got pic of it to post here? Pls

I did not like that bag at all so I gave it to my Dad, who is overseas now.

Think of it this way: Likened to the shape of the McDonald's riders' bagpack food carrier, but smaller by 40%. That's how bulky and asthetically displeasing it was for me to be using it.
