there're many travel insurance out there in the market but unfortunately, many don't wanna cover motorcycling. so i propose we go with NTUC and add the required 25% loading. if you guys can confirm, we qualify for 15% discount (4-20pax) liow however, my take is we should cover 6 days since add only $2 (from departure on 10 Apr to return on 15 Apr in case delays)

 

estimated cost for 4 persons (see attached online quotation):

does the NTUC travel insurance on your quote cover us traveling on motorcycles?

(there is a premium loading of 25% for motorcycling over the standard premium)

under standard plan, most travel insurance and have exclusion clauses in their policy document stating clearly that activities on motorcycle are not covered

 

btw, 10-14 Apr adds to 5 days... if cross 2359hrs = 6 days

please help to check and confirm to prevent dispute in the event of claims

 

when every year we travelling up north, insurance will also be part of it.

Kindly correct me if im wrong. NTUC is more troublesome in getting for travel insurance and as well as it cover are limited and most of the quotation dun cover bike travel.

 

I have done travel insurance coverage for last year group. If all interested and need me to do it again then i shall do the necassasy but at least min of 10 pax otherwise no discount to fight for. Otherwise i shall advice what i know and share among us. I have my own insurance for this trip le.

a rough guide on how much each participant need to prepare at least;

 

1) Fuel(ONLY fueling in mlysia - cheaper & higher RON octane), round-trip distance for approximately 1,750km;

- on average of 16km/ltr* u will need about 110ltrs x rm1.80(S$0.76)= rm198(S$85.00).

*other fuel consumption range can be calculated with the above method to get the estimated total cost for fuel.

 

2) Meals;

- normal food consumed at coffee shop/stalls usually at less than S$3/meal.

 

3) Shopping & Spendings;

- very much depending on ur wants & needs. most purchases usually u need to bargain unless in departmental stores. other services usually quoted at a fixed price.

 

At average each person spend less than S$300 for a decent 4D/N bike trip for Songkran Festival(room cost not included).
