hi everyone!

 

just bought a 2nd-hand rs125 today, so i guess i'm the newest member as of now ;-)

 

my bike's outlook is quite bad, lots of dents and scratches. if i respray, is the workshop able to "sand down" the scratches, even those very deep ones?

 

otherwise, i'm thinking of changing a full set of fairings. can anyone advise me on where to get and install (new or 2nd-hand is fine, as long as condition is good)

for spare fairing I don't really think weida have also, map pte ltd might have . . . even if have a new set original rs125 fairing will be very expensive . . . there is no need for u to change ur fairing anyway . . . just send for a complete respary . . . it will look like new . . . for stickers wise u can pm AH^^PEK^^LAH in this forum for ur needs . . . if u wants he can help u send in for respary while u wait for ur stickers . . . just pm him for more details . . .

Don;t buy from MAH. Anything you buy from them also no warranty. My bike just bought in Feb 08, spoil they say: "warranty? leave your bike here six months or more for warranty". Check with you all, piston (bought in Feb 08, stock, no mod to bike) crack got warranty? I just changed piston block from them, ask them got warranty, they say not official warranty. So no warranty again.

 

there is no reason for u to leave ur bike there so long for warranty claims, must be some salesman who tell u that . . . try to talk to Mr Mah if such things happen again . . .

 

bro, I am not taking sides for anybody but for ur piston wise its hard to justify cos its consider as a wear and tear item, alot of factor might have involve also eg. inproper run-in, unintended usage, incorrect/insufficient lubrication, negligence etc . . . put urself into their shoes . . . I don't know if u need to pay for ur new block and pistons or not, if its free u should be grateful cos if they wanted to play punk they can just give a stupid reason and refuse to change but they still change it for u free (thats is if u really get it for free) . . . and for spare parts normally there is no warranty also when u buy cos u must understand how u want the shop to give u warrenty for just screw, gasket, "o" rings, any levers or even brake pads let alone pistons and blocks . . . cos most of it r wear and tear items and how u want them to warranty u?

 

I hope the above answers ur question bro . . . hope u don't get offended cos its just base on my personal opinon . . .

Absolutley agree, wear & tear component. Only if they explained it to me like you did. Thanks for the heads up and anyone looking for a piston block? No piston because crack already. They mentioned around $300 odd for new piston.

i always go to First motor at ubi there.frenly mech,ah seng.other shop i sometimes go is racewerks at bukit merah..JB mech i rather avoid.i think all bros here dont recommend u go to jb mech.

 

but isnt it funny,we avoid JB workshops like the plague while ah seng n ah an themselves are malaysian? now ah seng got younger "bro" from china.the face look very similar to ahseng.workshops also now employ FT *tsk tsk*

I don think is the impact of changing muffler, anyone encounter the same issue be4 ma? then just now went to bike shop, he said might becos my valve problem need to change, $260 T_T hmmm, any suggestion ? Deeply Appreciate man

compatible piston should be around $120 to $200 depend on quality . . . u can buy prox or some funny brand aprilia compatible piston weida, vertex piston from ideal and wiseco piston from mezzo racing . . .
