Looks like a secondary air emissions system used to 'cheat' the Euro 3 emissions test.

Not sure how it works but its likely that some of the fresh+filtered air from the airbox bypasses the carbie and is drawn into the catalytic exhaust to push back on any unburnt charge; might also be so that the exhaust reading on any emissions tester will be fooled with a higher oxygen content?

Doesn't seem like a 'booster' though, going by the huge number of UK riders removing the SAS (Secondary Air System) after purchasing the bike. Those guys are serious tuners and can't wait to remove it. I don't think you should put it on, but if you want it, its selling on eBay for S$30

I already have all the boosters I need. It's called a wrist. :cheeky:

Chung was so concerned a tube was hanging loose. He came to see me. I guessed and checked it was from the airbox. However it was leading to the front area of the bike. Since I didnt have any tools, couldnt open up to see where it leads.

To me, it looks pointless though. :)

Not a booster, but a bypass to cheat emission tests.

Anyone with the older bikes thinking of putting the 06 clocks?

Been a long time wish of mine. So far, I figure I'd have to get the 06 rear brake caliper, bracket with speedo sensor along with the clocks and the meter stay. Anything else i should get to hook them up? Shouldnt be any issue to connect rpm, temp sensors to the 06 clocks right?

Lawrence, and the rest of the old birds, your thoughts and advice pls!

I've seen the Koso meters on Patrick's bike. Most impressed.. But still like the simple 06 clocks.

Please don't call me old bird, makes me feel like I've held on to this bike for too long...

I'm just a guy who likes antiques. hahaha...

06 meters are ok but if you're going digital you might as well go for the KOSO meter. It looks way better and has all the proper attachments for the conversion.

Price-wise not much difference anyway.

THE PLAN***: Ride on Friday(23rd) night. Back on Monday(26th).

***Due for planning.

Those who wanna ride down do sms me/khai your interest. So we could have some basic planning, and possibly decide which hotel to stay, how many rooms to book, how many to a room, etc.

So far, this is the list of guys who are interested:

1) macan_putih aka Khai @ 91455310

2) blast3dGaL (pending)

3) ragnophobia

4) zack939

5) redx (pending approval)

6) din (showed interest during meet up last Fri)

7) quikslvr

8) IZECUBEZ

9) whoissham [paid $25]

10) insaint (patrick) Pending miss last year.

11) shandantou (chung) [paid $25]

12) Rudinator (rudy) Pending due to TP

**Estimated expenditure : last year I personally spent approx SGD300.

It varies from person to person (personal shopping desires).

Those interested on expenditure:

I remember paying $100 for hotel, RM80 for Main Grand Stand Tickets, and about rm100 for petrol.. and the rest for food, and shopping.. I think.. Those who went last year, pls correct me if I'm wrong.

***We are looking at service apartments, if you have any suggestions, pls feel free to share. A certain sum will need to be paid after a few meetings to discuss accomodation and itenary. This is to avoid any last minute back off after hotel/apartment booking.

Most likely we are going to start discussing this during our meet-ups starting next month, and more seriously in September. So those interested, pls try to come down in future and upcoming impromptu meet-ups if you have enquiries, or any ideas/suggestions to share.

And kindly update the list. Thanks...

can i make love to u then..?

you will understand my need for revenge and to inflict pain on those who have betrayed me

True.. That's why i'm sourcing for parts from ebay UK. Undoubtedly the KOSO meter is outstanding, but... I'm partial to the aprilia clocks. It's nothing great, but i like it. :p
