No worries, mate!

We'll just wait till you're 65 and not so shy then we meet up for kopi with your grand-children and we can teach u how to save money by tuning and servicing your bike.

In the meantime, don't come to us for help.

Cheers! :p

Hi Shinya, DIY isn't the only way, but for me it is. I've been disappointed everywhere I've been to, it's hard not to be skeptical.

I believe you're right that some shops do understand and can cater to their customer's needs. I hope you don't mind sharing it with other riders here? :)

I don't mind paying a premium for better service or workmanship. But I must be able to witness it - don't physically throw my bike parts around; don't leave screws lying around to go missing; have proper housekeeping; don't leave unnecessary scars/dents/scratches on parts on my bike that could have been avoided, etc.

Working fast does not mean you must be disorganised and messy. I like to watch mechanics in US and UK work because they are fast and efficient, and the vehicles leave the workshop in a better condition than they arrived in, with no damage to other parts of the vehicle.

I'm getting busier and have lesser time for my bike. I eventually will have to send my bike to be done somewhere instead of DIY. So I'm looking for a shop that can be trusted. Any to recommend? :D

Actually i was quite surprise the shop at the cross of Braddell rd and Upp Serangoon rd "å¾·æ³°" seems never been mentioned here. The mech named david i feel very good at suspension setting and engine work as long as you can communicate well with him. My track use 250 only rebuilt once the suspension there two years ago and still working supreb, engine as well keep good quality. With this i can focus on small setting/turning to improve track performance.

I never been to first motor so i can not make any compare but i do saw some RS125 servicing here and he also got some idea about RS125.

I don't care much about mech's working habbit as long as they can do fine job on my bike. And this place i found suits me.

Cheers,

Well.............. uhhhh...

Actually, Teck Thye is my secret workshop that I send my bike to when I'm too lazy to DIY. heh heh heh heh..........

I trust David from TT more than any mech. I recommend FM so that everyone stays away from TT and that leaves David free to work on my bike. heh heh heh heh......

My WP rear suspension is also done by David. He does an exceptional job of setting the shock sui sui to my weight.

oh bro, not just electricals. the spark coils needs to be changed and i need to service the valves again.......properly.

OMG....sounds a lot to do. Have you consider go to tech thye let David do a survey for you? I think he can do everything one shot, but you need to give him some more time cos he have lot of bike to work on and also he prepare his cub racing team so the working period will be bit longer compare to other shop.

I don't know what kind of valve problem your are facing, but aged RS250 maybe you have to look more than just valve itself, the valve pulley also important if they already kind of wear out or not in correct position. This will effect your power output a lot.

You guys also considering join MSS aprilia RS125 challenge cup or just go PG trackday? If go PG trackday no need to wait that long lar, put a set of good tires, bring a can of nice 2T, gear yourself up then can go liao :)

Go to track and enjoy riding is actually not that hard. I also seen ppl with rider jacket, FF helmet, glove, knee slider and a pretty stock bike go there and enjoy the feeling of riding.

Hope can see more apiliran on the track soon

Studying the regulation of MSS RS challenge cup.....

nice one ize. anyway, bro sorrie4u, pls dun buy that bile. its relatively new. but mah motor, have sold 2 bikes, with milage of 500km and another 50km one, for 10.5k and 10k machine price. those 2 are full powered bikes. one bought by a friend of ryujin.

its just that i not trying to be rude, but 9k is like a heaven price for that model. its a 08 btw. those 2 bikes sold at mah is 09 versions. silver rims. power wise, have to see the 08 bike before we can do a judgement. but even if its full powered, lol, ask the owner to stop dreaming.

pls leave that thread. let the owner push the bike to bike shop ba. i wonder where is the bike shop, will push my bike to there and ask for quotation. with stock 08 bike at 9.5k, i think mine can fetch at 15k at least. mine 09 model, 4 months old, with a tiny bit of modifications. hahaha. lol.

btw, in moody mood recently. pardon my harshness.
