Hi ppl, anyone here got spare Balance Shaft Gear x2 and Oil Pump Drive Gear x1 to let go to me first? I promised to pay u back in cash + one milo peng can? Ill already made an order for those to keep as spares and den yesterday, my bike start emiting a lot of smoke plus i checked my gear oil empty...gurantee plus chop the gear chui already...hai..think must bathe my bike in flower watter to get rid of all the bad luck..

Milky gear oil could be caused by coolant leaking into clutch case.

 

where shld i look out for the cause n how much would it cost to rectify the damage? izit the water pump or the gasket itself...i did ask the mech n he told me might hv to down engine n would cost ard 500+...donno whether true or not or maybe juz wanna ketok me...sianzzz....

Bleah! I better remove the idle jet 75. Spark Plug wet all the while (when installed). Gonna go for a haircut then settle the carb.. :|

 

Maybe can try a 60 or 65 Idle jet? I've changed mine to 65.

 

Bike is in tip top condition now. I also realised that even if the oil leaked in my front left fork, it is stil ok.....it is the spring inside that is doing the work what...the oil is to damper the return.

When are you free? let's go to that whiskey bar to enjoy. My treat.

'Essential', you say? haha...

 

Well, speedometer and balancing gears are common items (besides the powervalve) that are considered consumables. They wear out quickly and need replacement once every few years, or 50,000km thereabouts.

 

Other things like replacement fuel/oil hoses are good as you replace your old brittle ones with new, soft, supple ones. Brake caliper service kits are good to renew that spongy braking feel to firm and confidence-inspiring braking feel.

 

Also good to stock up on your speedo cable, clutch cable and clutch plates just in case.

 

If you are into DIY, can consider the paddock stand too. S$60 only. Not too sure how good it is, but at that price, can't resist man... My current paddock stand costs S$200 from Oz.

i just collected my bike wah not used to riding rs sia... need some time to warm up my body... lol... too used to siting down and corner in car... comes to bike now feel like going to fly off...seems like i use too much braking strength too... lol...
