We have a lot of sarcastic people in the forum.

Haha. well one might be much faster then the other. So very possible to have no fight at all. Unless both are in 1 sec of each other then we can see something. Maybe ask more ppl to participate will be good.:thumb:

For those going premix, there are 2 options:

Permanent or temporary

Permanent:

Simply remove all hoses, seal up the 2T inlet port on the carb, remove 2T pump mechanism, block up the gear shaft hole with resin plug.

Temporary:

You will need to disconnect the 2T hose that runs from the tank to the pump, AND the hose that runs from the 2T pump to the 2T inlet port in your carb.

Find a small plug or cap to seal the 2T inlet port on the side of your carb. Previously I used a toothpick and some resin to keep it in place. When you want to revert, just break the resin anchor.

For the larger 2T hose (tank to pump), you have a choice of draining the 2T tank or just plugging up the end of the hose. I recommend draining the 2T tank and sealing the end of the hose. This will keep unwanted stuff out of the 2T supply system when not in use.

When u want to go back to injector, connect 2T tank hose to 2T pump, and hose from 2T pump but not to the carb.

Top up 2T tank, start your engine and run it until 2T flows through the inlet hose to the tip of it.

Next, drain your fuel tank of premixed petrol and refill it with fresh petrol without 2T premixed into it. Connect the 2T inlet hose to the carb and it's done.

2T Types

Premix 2T

For those of you who want to use Premix 2T, do note that it is viscous (thicker/heavier/more concentrated), so please pour the 2T and petrol together into a sealed container, then SHAKE IT WELL. You must ensure that the color is evenly distributed throughout the contents. This reduces the chance of separation between the 2T and fuel.

Injector 2T

Those who wish to keep things simple, you can continue to use Injector 2T as it is less viscous (thinner/dissolves better) and is less likely to separate after mixing.

Personally I use Injector 2T because I like the convenience.

5 Steps to Premix Refuelling (Pre-2006 RS125):

1. Turn fuel tap to "OFF" position

2. Open tank cap and pour 2T into tank

3. When pumping the petrol, angle the nozzle so that the fuel stream hits the existing fuel and CHURNS THE TANK, the more agitation and foaming, the better.

4. Turn fuel tap back to "ON" or "RES" position

5. Enjoy the awesome power and smooth ride, worry-free! (Thanks to Lawrence, now isn't he nice)

3 Steps to Premix Refuelling (2006-2009 RS125):

1. Open tank cap and pour 2T into tank

2. When pumping the petrol, angle the nozzle so that the fuel stream hits the existing fuel and CHURNS THE TANK, the more agitation and foaming, the better.

3. Enjoy the awesome power and smooth ride, worry-free! (Thanks to Lawrence, now isn't he nice, should buy him lunch whenever you see him)

For ratios and calculations,

Litre of 2T : Litre of Petrol

1:20 means 1 litre of 2T to 20 litres of petrol

Also means 1 litre of petrol requires 50ml of 2T

1:20 - racing

1:30 - racing

1:40 - race/street

1:50 - street/race (safe and convenient in terms of calculation) 1 litre of petrol : 20ml of 2T

1:60 - street (still safe depending on 2T type)

1:70 - nearly smoke-free (may not be suitable for some newbies)

1:80 - NOT RECOMMENDED (use at your own risk)

I currently use 1:80 (1L of petrol to 12ml of 2T), hence I have very minimal smoke on start up, minimal carbon build-up on my valve (cleaned twice a year) and spark plug (changed once a year), and no oil at my exhaust tip. This also greatly depends on your carburetion, which I will save for another day when I'm in a good mood.

Have fun, people.

If you're gonna say that its an Aprilia Track Day, why not be in it instead?

Hi Spiderman, since you are the most experience PG rider among us, do you mind organize an aprilia track day, guide us along with your R6? It seem like more riders are getting interest in riding at PG. :) :)

You should know that to really ride safe & knowing all the track rules is not easy for most of them. With your help, most of them might willing to join in. :) But of course have to see how the response are. :cheeky:

Month of Feb or Mar would be better month as Jan still consider a wet month and most of us are still trying to fix up our bike properly. Just my personal suggestion. :):)

Well, Mah is in this advertiser forum now. I still got a quote of $1500.. Better off buying it ELSEWHERE that is cheaper. I hope they are seeing this and think about revising the price for all the parts...

I rather buy it online where its cheaper even after shipping and currency conversion.. :|

Just because they dominate the market locally dont mean ppl will turn to other sources outside of Singapore to get their parts.

I support merchants based on principles. Shops like M*h are concerned only with sales and not after sales service; and are known to pull unscrupulous stunts like the one with Jun, I won't support, even if they are the cheapest in Singapore. I'd gladly pay much much more to get my parts by shipping them in overseas and being taxed extra. As long as M*h does not earn a single cent from me, I am happy.

Ever wondered why they never let you watch them work on your bike? Your bike is being butchered in their chop shop! Staffed by Malaysian mechs who learnt from their sifu who imparted their skills to them, and now some of the mechs are Made In China too! Some tout a cursory certificate in engine repair. But most of them probably knows as much as what you know about your own bike. You wanna talk ethics? Start with how they treat the bikes and their customers.

As a customer with spending power, I look for the quality in service. If you cannot treat your customers well, there will be others who will. This is the new economy.

when I was servicing my 125 @ M*h in the past, I was the only customer standing @ the window over looking my bike!! Lol!

Then I saw a bike dat accidently drop while they were working on it...

Well i tried to do it previously when i am still riding the 250. The turn out is always not up to expectation so i scrap the idea ever since. IF u can get at least 6 riders to go then y not? Time can confirm again but the riders must be there.

Thanks Spidey!

The throttle fits well on my Aprilia RS125.

I really appreciate you taking the time and effort to do a good job on the modification of my throttle control.

As for the performance itself, only one word - Outstanding.

I tried a Domino fast throttle before, and didn't like it as it just felt cheap and a little hard to control. But your custom design is of just the right size. The finish was so good, I felt that what I was paying for was totally worth it. And like I told you, I don't like free play, so after the minute adjustments, the throttle was not only very responsive, it was also very precise.

With merely the slightest increment on the throttle, I can feel the movement of my wrist accurately translated into the desired power. When I need to go WOT (Wide Open Throttle), I only need to twist about two thirds of what I used to turn to get there. This means minimal wrist movement, but maximum performance in the shortest time.

Thanks again for the installation. I wanted to get my hands dirty but I made the wise decision to leave the fine work to the expert. :thumb:

Loving the awesome pick-up!
