ifyou know him personally dont know for what reason.. His bikes is either kena bang by car in car park or drop by unknown force.. He himeself nv dropped it...quite unlucky chap..I dropped my super 4 before...hahhaha

it's like that one lor... anything can happen when unlucky.

my scooby also kenna before... someone molested with my SW at night, dropped it and ran away. i found it lying on its side the next morning when going to work; nothing major, scratches and paint chip-offs on the bike's left side and topbox. was quoted $180 to patch-n-restore paintwork of affected panels but i decided to go for new colour, full respray at $560 (include dismantling/assembly)

Just changed my 5 months old rear tire at ACM.. The hole I plugged leaked, no choice have to change for safety reason....

I read about it in cycle world...Nice article..When I was 28, when I queue at 2nd link, 2 men in their fifties riding 1098 and RC8 queue behind with the full leather going to track...If they can do it, why not....Then I ask my R1 frd in front...dont know when we at our fifties can we tear the track...

Today talked about 3D printing used to print the Austin Martin in Skyfall. Didn't know such technology existed. I thought you meant 3D image on a 2D paper.

Just brought a radiator cap with 130kpa pressure...Due to the point of purchase I thought 130kpa is the normal pressure...When i replace the old one, it stated 1.1 bar...A search online and I notice 1.1 is around 110kpa..Haiz.. does a higher pressure cap load the system too much for our silverwing??

Hi guys, i wanna ask some servicingmto those who bought brand new.

 

Today i went to Boon Siew Honda to do my first 800 km servicing as stated at the warranty card. Then when i check again the next servicing will be at 4000km followed by 8000km servicing then every 4000km.. Is it true to service like this? He even told me at 800km can change to fully synthetic oil also instead of mineral oil.

 

I thought its

@ 800km change mineral oil

@1600km change mineral oil & filter and

@ 2400km then can change the fully synthetic oil then after onwards

@ every 10000km normal servicing...

 

Any opinions?

This is a question that you will get many varied answers. See this excellent post by SW Chairman. HOM Chairman has more extreme run-in procedures.

 

As a general rule, more kia-su is better, since SW EO change is small volume and you only run-in once in the entire life of the vehicle (unless you change engine block/pistons). For me, I swear by fully synthetic EO. Most seniors do their maintenance at 5kkm interval.
