Hey kakis.. any coolant which is silicate free to recommend me for my coming coolant change?

Should i use back the traditional type which uses 50% mixture of coolant with 50% water?

Any idea what coolant (green colour) is use by honda motorcycle factory or on their silverwing?

 

LiquiMoly coolant I used before is good. Maintains temperature very well. can get from Equipment Extreme. I might be changing mine too. A cheaper but similar product which I've used before is the Nissan Long Life Coolant from Tan Chong Motors. Last I asked about this coolant costed about $10 per litre.

on my bike, fuel pump workin, hav crank sound

but bike cant start..

starting voltage 12.2

any idea wat happen?

 

Check your engine kill switch.

12.2v is a bit low. Should get about 12.6v.

so sorry to hear that.

my bike is having exactly the same problem and was sent in to Boon Siew last Friday for diagnostic.

BS supervisor (Mr Toh) tested the bike when receiving it but also can crank cannot start.

called BS on Sat and they haven't started work on my bike yet, guess gotta wait for another few days liow.

 

Ah Choong did a thorough check on my bike, he suspects it could be some electronics failure.

 

yes, its in on pos, if off there wont even hav crank sound.

can crank, but juz wont fire up..

will low batt cause it?

if low bat, you'll get very weak or no crank at all.

 

you may wanna consider...

(a) send it to mech for checking, if can't solve then send to BS

(b) send straight to BS

this is a sad moment for bikers... another biker fallen due to some stupid driver :cry:

 

Yahoo! News... Viral video: Lorry driver caught on tape crashing into motorcyclist on PIE

1:22 ... clearly shows there are 2 vehicles in front of the lorry

1:40 ... clearly shows the biker in front of the lorry and 2 vehicles in front of the biker

2:09 ... clearly shows the biker in front of the lorry and 2 vehicles in front of the biker. gap between the biker and the car in front is barely enough for the lorry but lorry driver still decides to overtake biker.

2:11 ... lorry driver swirls out to left and speeds up and swirls inwards to the biker within 1 second.

2:12 ... lorry knocks biker down to the ground.

 

suggest you look at duration 2:10 to 2:12 again and again, take particular attention to where the impact took place, and ask yourself these questions before making any further comments:

 

(1) how is it possible for a lorry to overtake another motorist in just 1 second???

the lorry driver didn't even wait for his lorry to clear the biker.

 

(2) observe the manner and angle in which the lorry rams into the biker.

it simply isn't the normal way for any driver to filter back into the lane after overtaking another vehicle. furthermore, the lorry seemed to have accelerated deliberately (clip time 2:11) towards the biker. if that doesn't look deliberate, that what is?

 

(3) observe the impact spot where the lorry knocks down the biker (clip time 2:12).

the impact point seems to be at the front side of the lorry.

if impact is at the front, it suggests that lorry driver has no intention to clear the biker.

if impact is at the rear, it suggests that maybe the lorry driver made a huge misjudgement about clearing the biker.

we'll have to wait for the police to inspect the evidence (scratch marks) on the lorry.

 

my suspicion... the lorry driver got really frustrated about the biker not giving way, lost his cool and acted in the utmost stupid manner.

regardless, such stupidity cannot be condoned!!!

As I biker ... I damn scare ppl tail gate me ... best to move away from these drivers.

The skin will hurts for weeks.

 

Most drivers are very impatient towards biker. They rather squeeze you toward the side rather then change lane to over take you. Need to ride a kup-kia to understand .... Poor kup-kia ...

Good to know we still have good samaritans in SG :thumb:

 

This type of assault even with good bike and good riding skills also cannot react fast enough. Video says it's a female rider. So sad :(
