My wobble at speed between 40-70 will start from slight to bad the head of the bike will shake very badly if I let both my hands off. So I was thinking there should be something that is wrong with the bike. Is there any other causes of such wobble?

Eg. Steering cone bearing, wheel bearing, etc.

 

Hope that SW riders here can give me some advise.

try balancing it.. i also gt hit by the wobble b4 tire change.. after tire change and balance, i didnt feel it anymore..

quick qns, my bike voltage when switch on shows ard 12.2, charging seems fine, but when i stop at traffic light it sometimes drop to 19.9.. izzit battery dying?

i stil can 1 crank start thou.

You mean 9.9v at traffic light? If so, more likely magnetic coil or rectifier issue already.

SW9000, MaIkEr, try the Race Tech Gold Valve Cartridge Emulator Kit. Part number is FEGV S4101 for SW 41mm forks.

 

Front already changed to hyperpro. Still pondering what to change for rear! Race tech not cheap also.

Since your just got it, suggest you go back to where you bought your bike and ask them to rectify. Should be bearings bah.

Of coz. In case cannot catch up mah. Pass Marcus mine coz he still waiting for e ram mount that I helped him ordered...

 

06May: Ordered stuffs from GPSCITY. 2 items no stock. stock-in date slide back umpteen times.

02Jul: complaint to cancel.

03 Jul: items shipped.( miraculously)

20Jul: complaint why not received.

23Jul: told to wait 40 days b4 they can file claim. ( faint)

 

Lesson learnt: don't trust the stock-in date. No stock, look elsewhere.

Corrective action: BANNED!

What @SW9000 mentioned is true. I second that.

The front vibration felt at certain speed is a norm for all silverwing.

Is because of the long wheel base, small diameter of rim and the aft weight distribution of the bike.

Trust me, the issue will still persist after changing new steering cone and wheel bearing. Maybe the vibration might just reduce a little if ur bearing are worn.

had similar scenario while in melaka, came back and went straight to ah choong for checking.

Effect is different. Hyperpro changes spring rate and preload. These valves change low speed and high speed compression damping.

I noticed that Mutol 7100 changed from JASO MA to MA2, with an API SN label.

Hmm... manual says SW uses API SG or 'higher'.

 

Read this but still a bit blurr on what JASO/API standard to use because the oils have different chemical settings. http://www.motorcycleanchor.com/motorcycle/how_to/mc_oil.html

 

Continue with Mutol (MA2/API SN) or revert back to Maxima (MA/API SG)? Hmm... hmm...

Btw, This new Mutol 7100 didn't turned lighter (throttle response) after 1 week, unlike the previous type. I don't like heavy oils. Lets wait for 1 more week.

So far i using this motul 7100 as well... So far my bike feels smooth, not feeling heavy went moving off..
