new question.usually the crankcase vent goes to the airbox or re-route to external of bike.

but it seems that the case vent here is route to under the main stand with the end block.

if memory correct, SW9000 has a carbtune :)

rail mall meetup is open to all, not restricted to SW riders... you'll see many different bikes in the group.

we usually meet every thurs, except occasions where the CB clubhouse is not open or bad weather.

just pop in, no need to sign up :thumb:

Hi guys.. which scooter is best for touring? Silverwing or tmax & what is the max speed and fuel comsuption comparation of the two. Thinking getting silverwing but tmax design is solid

imo... between the 2, SW is more suitable for touring.

the SW has a more comfortable sitting posture (more upright), heavier and longer wheelbase for stability at higher speeds, sufficient wind protection and ample underseat storage space (55L). add a top box (e.g. the very economical and popular givi simply 45L) and you'll have 100L of covered/dry storage on the go. i guess storage is one big concern when touring, unless you dun plan to bring tools, spares and much barang barang :p

range wise, its 16L tank can take us comfortably >250km before thinking of refuel, depending on SOA of course; at 130+km/h, my common FC is about 21+km/L along NSHW.

as for TMAX, it wins hands down on the acceleration and manoeuvrability department. not sure about its comfortable cruising and top speed though. which looks better is rather subjective; TMAX looks more sporty while the SW looks more comfortable. FC wise, TMAX's burns slightly more fuel than SW, higher cc mah :p

final verdict... depends on what you're looking for

do join our kopi session... you can hear from our kakis first hand. we've got one who switched from SW to TMAX for a week and back to SW. we've also got one very satisfied rider of TMAX.

Need to replace my SWT battery as the voltage is

Can buy from fjt, located at rowell road. Very obvious signboard. Some have tried motobatt battery and skyrich battery from wingyap, lighter and supposedly holds charge better.

Need to replace my SWT battery as the voltage is

suggest u buy YTZ14S instead of 12S cos it's only abt 10+ bucks more :p

lowest price seems to be at KS motor ($130+) opposite Regina along Jln Besar, no harm asking around ya.

or u may wanna consider the skyrich lithium batt which I'm currently trying out... it's supposed to hold charge longer than the YTZ maintenance free ones but I've only used it for 1½ month, will only know better over longer periods of use

do check out the SW tech corner, lots of info there:
