dun have leh , no secret outing, most tour friends i had retired , and 1 i greatly missed pass away .

didint have the heart to go up and down NSHW.

the last time i rode up , dunno why the heart and mind like werid werid feeling when by pass the death site. make me feel breathless.

 

now i jus looking at a bike to combine all in 1 . i see silverwing a good choice.

Just went to ACM and changed the clutch housing bearings.

The rubbing noise that bugged me for month is gone. Yeah... Quietness.

 

Now must stock up on these wear and tear items, just in case bike shop no have when you need it.

Seriously, the best upgrade for anyone who pillion often would be getting the Hagon Rear Suspension.

While the seat height would increase a bit (due to less sagging), the handling and performance at rough surfaces is much better then stock.

There is less feeling of the road from my butt.

And... it cost less then the stock suspension.

Check it out with confusehaha if you want to upgrade.

 

How much is hagon rear shocks. Wonder if it fit my downtown

Stock suspension for Silverwing is over $400.

The rubbing noise is referring to the "glak glak glak" sound ? Mine got this sound recently, quite annoying. Ask ACM to check he said nothing wrong. Haiz....

Constant 'glak glak' sound when idling, louder if pushing the bike backwards.

*On main stand and engine off, use hand turn the rear wheel backwards can also have this rough sound.

 

If got sound on the move... then different problem liao.

 

This one wear and tear and should replace every 1 or 2nd belt change, depending on road condition most travelled.

Imagine I've been travelling on superly uneven roads monthly (in Malaysia & Thailand) and the amount of vibration and knocks involved. That's why mine will last only 1 belt change (24k-30k).

Did that occurs during idling only?

My fren silverwing has this sound and was told by ac that the final drive shaft is a little worn due to the previous worn clutch bearing isnt replace in time which eventually cause slight damage to the drive shaft. but not to worry as it doesn't affect the ride at all. that very minor damage cant be seen from naked eyes too, can only be hear..

Any idea how much just to replace the shaft ?

Hi to all, just got myself a JDM SW. Just wondering anyone has a "bigger" windscreen to let go?

The 2 bearings at the clutch cost about $40+.

The shaft cost about $160+.

If need to change shaft, also need to replace the oil seal ($10) and possibly only 1x bearing ($20).

Plus workmanship.... not easy because must remove the clutch housing/bell to reach the final transmission gears.

 

But such things don't spoil easily, especially the shaft. Just need to watch out for the clutch housing bearings.
