so what EO are you currently using now? semi-syn?

btw is anyone here using yoshimura 24 mm? heard the fc is better than stock carb

I was using the 26mm previously. Yes, FC is better than stock only with proper tuning. You can performance and yet able to get near to stock fuel consumption. But thats on sane man riding style.

so bad? any good eo to recommend? even on fully syn i can only go up to 2k?

Savo, the catch point here is not about fully or semi engine oil. The punch line is actually on the volume of the engine oil. Kups use 0.8-1 litres. Therefore the engine oil breaks down fast. Bigger cc bike use 4-5 litres engine oil already need to change 5k-6k. Some change at 3k-4k because they go track often. Engine oil break down faster when you high rev or go fast.

When the engine oil breaks down and loses its lubrication properties, your engine and piston will have to work double hard. Now imagine you (piston) are swimming in a pool of mud (over use engine oil), is it easy to swim?

FC is definitely going to be affected greatly. Higher Performance=Higher Fuel and Air combustion=More Petrol is needed to move the bike. It is impossible to have a high performance bike that doesnt gun down petrol. The day you started to think to mod your bike is also the day you should be ready to give up your current FC. If there are riders who says their big bore kit saves more petrol than stock. Thats way out of the possible equation. THats why most ppl will tell you 'Stay Stock If You Want a Bike That Save Petrol'

there's a huge difference between changing to the yoshi carb and a big bore kit, so i dun think there is any contradiction

Erm bike modded.. Thks to my speed demon within..

Problems arise from advancement of technology - it causes unnecessary misunderstanding among us humans.

Yo! Kup Chai definitely can go any distance you want her to go. Any bike can travel and tour. Its always about the rider and not the ride. You are going to Melaka! Nice! Ok now, 100kph and above should be the occasional speed blast to chase the zzzzz monster away in you but not the average travelling speed. In my humble opinion, 80-90kph is perfect speed. Yes. Slow as it is. But its a lot safer and you will not be caught with insufficient petrol. The One cylinder is going to be overworked and will eat engine oil. Due to wind blast and long distance high RPM, the FC is actually very bad on the north south highway. In Singapore i am getting 180km full tank but on nshw i am getting 150km full tank.

If budget allow, you should stay one night in melaka because its actually very tiring to do a day trip. You spend more time on riding than to enjoy yourselves there. You see, Melaka is approximately 250km away from the malaysia border. Including rest time, you need at least 3 riding hours to reach Melaka. Another 3 to come home. In total you will need 6 riding hours! It is also recommended to bring a spare 2 litres petrol can.

Oh, if you have a loud aftermarket pipe. Bring along earplug. Because its also to buzz you for good o 250km. Lastly bring locks to secure your bike.

Make sure ur bike serviced before the trip and dun rev too much.

Dun overstress ur BIG BORE bike. Back and forth mileage should be within 1000km?

U only need to clarify and no need to insult ba?

Share with him ur vast experience with the different mods u've done.

He's just keen to learn more about his bike.

Make his learning more enjoyable.

If he can't understand then just let it be and let him be if u dun want to clarify further.

A lot of riders come to the bike forum for clarifications, looking for answers before spending at bike shops.

Thats right. Key point is dont over rev. Within 500km. Not 1000km. 1000km is enough to reach hatyai

SHare? How? First of all, before he shoot his words out. He didnt even take time to read exactly what i have posted. One is on YOshi carb and one is on big bore kit. Then just shoot off saying my two posts are contradicting? That goes to show he dont even know what is he saying, reading and thinking. If so, why do i need to nice to someone who doesnt even appreciate what i am sharing here.

If dont know then ask. It will be nicer. "hey bro, i noticed earlier your post mentioned that modding a bike will result in worse FC, may i know how changing to the yoshi carb will result in better FC? Rather than "contradicting lar bro"

If one purpose is coming here to learn. Then learnt to read every sentence, think and ask. Not say, read and think.

Obviously he got it mixed up.

That's y just clarify for him to understand it's two different issue.

Ur earlier statement doesn't gives him the clarification but possibly raise more off track questions?

Later he really go and look for the thin red line between big bore and carb how? LOL...

Spent time to type out long paragraphs and must ensure all political nice words. Cannot hurt those fragile young hearts who couldnt take hard teaching. Sorry i old school. Not my style of teaching and sharing. If doesnt like to be treated badly, then spent more time doing own research and not coming in here expected to be spoon fed in nice girlfriend-ly manner.

Anyway have fun! Last post! Ciaos.
