hi, anyone knows the cost for water pump? think mine broke down. highway travel the overheat light cam on. stop by the roadside and poured water less than 500ml into radiator.. but didn't see any liquid in the coolant tank down below. engine oil good, not milky since i thought i blew a gasket or soemthing. anyone knows the damage for a water pump replacement? if i get the part will it be easy to diy? read the forums, most seem to say its the water pump o ring only?? ssoorry for the long winded story. will appreciate any valueable input. thanks

Guys. How do u guys go inspection with ur racing footrest, rear disc brake & oversized front disc brake? Any bikeshop recomendation to swap stock stuffs for awhile to do inspection or hav anyone passed inspection with these modifications? Tnx in advance

I think you're referring to the radiator? I believe its about RM290 in JB, no confirmation though. Firstly when the light is lit, the fan is turned on/working, it doesn't mean that the radiator is immediately spoiled. As for the coolant level, it should be in the middle, neither full nor empty.

 

Best is to ask your trusted mech and see what he says.

It could be some faulty wiring too.

ii opened up the radiator from the left hand side, top up less than 500ml. rode home. no over-heating!

 

reached home, see again the level from the plastic coolant tank on the right. no water at all. not low, not full NOTHING!

 

think that's a separate coolant tank from the radiator since there's a cap that can be opened. so tonight is all hands on deck.

 

project time!

 

will top up & feedback again. cheers mate!

Check properly bro. My fan light used to turn on also many times. Sekali I check, the wiring loose. I dun want you to go to shop then they say radiator spoil and pay hundreds when actually only faulty wiring.

My friend went to Vicom Kaki Bukit with set up like yours and he passed! It all depends on the one inspecting. You may wanna try your luck first? If fail then go to shop and swap to stock.

Sometimes the coolant bottle is abit yellow and look like no water inside but actually there is. Might wanna get a bright torchlight and shine to see properly coz mine also look like empty. But use torchlight then can see its half full.

Hi guys, I think I ask this before but I'm still not very sure about the answers I gotten, hope someone can help me. How often should we change our liquid coolant? And how much will it cost to do so?
