I ordered mine from Pyramid Plastics through Max Eqpt from Katong. Its $300 without painting. $180.00 for the painting, inclusive of name.

By the way I read this thread about making keys for the panniers. I tried many places, finally I managed to get it done at a shop located at the corner of Jln Besar and Kitchner Road.

Wow! Nice but too expensive .... Anyway thanks for the info, bro. :thumb:

Hiya Divrider,

I was down at the shop you mentioned to have the panniers key duplicated, but it was unsuccessful. Is the shop right next to a coffeeshop at the junction? The guy did cut a key, but when he tried it, he was unable to even insert the key.

BTW, anybody have any plans for rides/meetups/coffee/whatever?

I've attached a map of the exact location of the shop. He had to do some additional filing and before he could get it to work. I made 3 spares. :D

As i return from a weekend ride to Fraser, my mileage fast approaches 12k miles. Time to send it for servicing soon.

With regards to the spark plugs, any recommandations? Anyone using the irridium nibs or do u jus stick to the good old recommanded ones @ $5 each?

I dunno yet cos still using the original ones that came wif bike.. I reckon not too significant a difference but would like to ask ard for personal experiences if u guys have tried others.

Anyway my bike rpm start to fluctuate alittle already, might be time for a carb sync as well. But wait till my insurance comes 1st, like so fast almost 1yr wif bike already.....

I've asked ard many places n the prices range from 80-120. Must leave there for an entire day for them to set it correctly.

Hiya Jleo,

From my experience, carb sync would take about 2-3 hours if the mechanic is not busy for the day (good idea to fix an appointment). Pricewise, it is about there. I am planning to do mine in the near future. I have a regular mechanic that has been looking after all my motorcycles for the past 12 years.

my not so regular mechanic is from Tampines Gerry Looi's Motor loh, or another one from Seng Motor Hung at Bt Merah Lane, they both like to balance racing and sports bike expert.

Hi to all,

Me thinking of putting on a tank bra by Bagster on my bike. Was qouted $150 for it, and it comes in the Diversion's standard colours. Anyone interested in it or have anything to say about it?

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Hi,

Well, other than protecting the tank from scratches, I cannot think of anything else. The Bagster ones also has additional facilities to attach tank bags of the same brand.

Anyone else has anything else to add..........

Hi OMD,

Actually i personally feel that it is more of a cosmetic add on than anything else. A tank protector sticker would more than suffice. Also i do not like the idea of water seeping inside to the thru the tank cap opening areas if left in the rain, with water trapped inside, it might actually promote corrosion with heat.

I've tried gripping(with shorts) with me legs and the only difference i could feel was that it was 'more shiok'. In fact on hot days, it didn't feel all that nice(or is it bec i always ride one wif shorts).

Alot of bikes have the bra so they can add a secure fit-on tank bag but given the nature of the excess of luggage space which most of us have, defeats the 2nd purpose as well.

My own opinions. If u find the bra worth the cosmetic cost, do get it. If i ever consider getting one it would only be that.

The tank bag comes in handy when you have to refer to a map for directions. But you don't need a tank bra for it as there are magnetic tank bags available.

The tank bra does help to prevent scratches on your tank. If you want your tank to be always shinny and clean use the tank bra. It helps, but then again since its covered you only 'know ' that its shinny and clean, but won't be able to enjoy it. :cheeky:

Hiya,

I have decided against the tank bra. Instead, got myself a stick-on tank protector by Progrip (the carbon fibre one). Thanx for the feedback.

Anyone riding up north anytime soon? Just did a day trip to Malacca last weekend with a friend. Did half of the journey on the NS highway, and the other half on the trunk roads. Really enjoyed the ride. Planning to do more of such rides soon.

I am unable to join many of the rides/trips organised by the riders in this forum because I am working on a 3 cycle shift system. My days off can be in the middle of the week, when all the other riders are working.

So, anyone is welcome to join me for my day trips.................

Gentlemen whats up.......

A little investment on the tank bra definitely make a difference, mine still look brand new like it was 3 years ago. There is no need to be shown, may be till the day when i find a new buyer for the bike.:thumb:

cheers
