mine also '02, after six years can only sell half price, seems better to hold till COE expire (renew it) than sell more worth it.

Hi Cougar,

Long time no hear from you...You are still riding your green divvy...hardly see you anymore...it's about 2years or I think 3 years ago.

Just stick to it -don't sell after-all.... it does not give you any problem so far...

Mine is white now. Paint job done at Mah Motor Agency. Last problem was the CDI gone case, replace one costing me $495!!!

Sheez, but the engine still sounds solid. Its electrical wear & tear.

Hi there Cougar,

Approximately at how many km or how many years can the CDI unit be spared? I believe Nassir,a divvy bugger, had changed one before. Maybe those buggers who ride daily to work might want to know regarding this CDI estimated lifespan. Your information may be very helpful.

I dont ride daily leh, in fact seldom ride. But after changing, have to ride at least once a week to keep it in shape. Anyway mine is 6 years old, more than 5 years, replacement sure can last till COE expiry.

Heyrul, mine no lion head, just white fairing. I thinking of mod it with hand guards (just bought a acerbis matt black, yet to mount, have to do some fabrication to fit). Will add tall smoke gray shield from Kevin's sale, and fit scrambler shock protector covering. These mods should give it an enduro look.

Here's the photostream, numbers have been changed to protect the innocent.

Sorry, btw what is CDI?? Full name of CDI??

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Capacitor_discharge_ignition

Its the device before our alternator coil. Its a charging capacitor for the battery. The CDI itself initiates the charging, the alternator (coil) produces the current itself to charge the battery.

CDI gone case means, it does not intiates the charging anymore.

Last time i rode piaggio skipper, CDI always problematic, end up mechanic change to RXZ CDI, the problem stops! Japanese CDI should be consider quite reliable.

Thanx mate. For the handguards, McTan has ever installed on his divvy before. You might wanna ask him regarding the installation.

Nice paint job you got there,I'm sure with the tall screen it will look almost like mine but with opposite colour.

if yes, can i know how much each? im planning to do so at that shop but heard their pricing also 'cut throat' one. but nevertheless an outstanding workmanship. Currently am riding an FJR1300..

Different patterns have different price. Btw I'm wondering how does your fairing allow to have crash bar? Drill holes on the fairing?
