Hi Swift ,

When are you going to do the (bracket) at Seng Kwang for the givi box..? When! you want to go just give me a call,sms- see how is my working schedule(shift) and try to accompany you.

Likely I might be doing(fixing) a spot light bracket mount from the (stay) at the fairing, the spot lights will be align- along side with the head light. It can be tilt lower and the same time it can be effective and don't bother or glare other motorist in front of me!

Drawing out the design a bracket so it can be mount when using or dimount when not in use! enquired about the price roughly estimated for that design which I dicussed with william(SK) $80 (small Stainless Steel pipe) others under $150/-

So, guys interested- not so soon..! wait till finalised the design!

SG,

Sorry bro, i have long fixed the seng kwang rack for my Givi plate. :cheeky:

And also for the 3M stickers, i have cut and pasted it on my box for some time now.

Recently i just bought a full face and currently i am still waiting for the screen that i order from Motoworld.

So far for the updates for my Divy

Hi Guys,

Some factors about spark plugs!in technical terms:-

Let’s talk about spark plugs. You definitely do not want detonation. That’s the spontaneous ignition of the air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber that creates an audible knock, dramatically increases cylinder pressure and temperature, and will pummel your precious engine into oily bits if left uncorrected. You want a nice, controlled fuel burn for maximum power.

The good news is that if your engine was experiencing heavy detonation, you’d surely notice. Now for the plugs. A plug’s determines its operating temperature. A hotter plugs has a longer heat path back to the head, so its center electrode and ceramic insulator will run hotter. A colder plug has a shorter heat path and transmits heat to the head more efficiently. Manufacturers specify a certain heat range based on the engine operating characteristics. The plug must run hot enough to cook off deposits, but not so hot that it glows cherry red, which can lead to pre ignition. The best way to know if you’re got the right plug is to take a look—

1) Dusty tan is the right colour.

2) Whitish deposits around the center electrode indicate the plug is running hot.

3) While Dark sooty indicates it’s running too cold.

If there has never been a problem, if the plugs are in the proper colour, leave well enough alone.

Correct octane e.g. 95 an above fuel prevents knocking for the latest engine-- preventing unwanted unburn fuel/deposits collect inside the combustion chamber.

A proper/OEM air filter element prevents foriegn particles to be deposit/collect inside the combustion chamber.

A small foriegn particle sitting inside the chamber glowing red hot is good enough to cause spontaneous ignition of the air/fuel mixture in the combustion chamber.

Hi SG,

The height of my rack is somewhere in between your rack and Casper's rack. :D Not too high and not too low...just right :thumb:

Anyway, i got it for $140 (if i can remember correctly). i'm now saving up for a good riding jacket that is not too expensive. (Any recommendations??) Hope to get one between $100 to $200? :p

:btw: When are we guys (Divy grp) meeting up again for TK session?? :argue:

Hi Swift,

You fixed the rack for a good bargain. :cheer: .

If you want to get a good quality riding jacket, try to save abit more! I only can recommend Clover airtek summer jacket (because me using it) and it is not hot when using it in singapore!

I consider cheap paying only half of other brands which offer same quality of armour protection and build.

Jacket $300 + back protector $60 total $360/-(at chap lee) - if you are interested got to wait for the new shipment coming in Mid-April.

I'll be getting another jacket maybe with airtek pants. same design

About the meeting you can put up a date and ask how many are interested to turn up! For the Talk.co*k.Session like we usually do for the tour coming, not coming or pending-but CNY is just around the corner!..

Maybe after CNY.

Hi xanc,

Simply run through our earlier threads you'll have all the ANSWERS for all the QUESTIONS.

Or as you say it same old Q's-I'll give you the same old answers- Fuel consumptions is depends on the rider Full throttle from traffic light or normal move off. Its between say high of 17km/L to low of 21km/L of consumptions.

The last production was 2003 Dec!. XJ9s launch in 1994 after the big selling success of its young brother XJ6s.

Now you can only get- 2nd hand roughly from $12++ to $14.(now the demand for this bike is HIGH!(2nd bike)- PRICE IS UP too)

One of our 'handsome bugger' just got the 2nd hand bike for $14+..

But what I heard is that- HL is bring in another Batch between 20 to 40 units, most likely the last batch- for TP use only!. :weep:

Maintenance is one of the lowestin the big bike categories!

Hi Guys,

This proven, that our bike is one of the best and one of the (lowest maintenance compared to other bikes they used before) as they(tp) brought in another batch of 54 units,(most likely last batch) like-wise they are more budget conscious then us! Ordinary Citizen!

And this as a prove not only we (diversion group) knows about... now they(tp) also convienced about this bike with full satisfaction. :cheer:

As for Diversion, it was a perfect bike from the first day of launch which was 1994 till it ceased its production back Dec 2003- since then, there have been only a few details change. If compared to other bikes which have been thru a major changes and updates..!

Happy Riding and An Advance Prosperous Happy Chinese New Year! to all our Chinese Handsome-Buggers in (SBF)..!

In case anyone is looking for a touring jacket.

Here's a similar one I have. Mine was tested to be fully waterproof during the horrendous Genting trip.

Hi bro......

About the performance SG encounter was true enough! I think it is the octane from the fuel...not the engine oil. I've tried exxonmobile 92 and was very heavy. As for the engine oil,I've been using motul since day one (semi-synthetic) and it is Made in France! Just for your note is that Motul oil has calibrate their specification according to Yamaha since when Noriyuki Haga piloted the YZF R7 in world superbike championship since 1999!Just like Shell/Ferrari,Castrol/BMW.So for the fuel guys I'll stick to 95..... :thumb:

Jleo, good to know that the BT020 tyres worked well for ya! My pair of tyres went thru 8/9 days of rain during my MHS1864 trip last year, and i used it for my recent trip with many days of rough roads too!! good good!

Casper, my screen is the same as the Ermax that Swift ordered... this is one of the good things!

Good to me, as its not as dark, i dont need to look over the screen to get a clearer view of the road in front. At high speeds, dont need to duck under as much as the OEM screen. Luckily it isnt that high too, else aft the trip i went...with all that bumpy offroad... it would already be broken by now! Other good things include Seng Kwang Rack and... notice the front fender extender? :shades:

Hi mokamoka,

You mean, they(tp) got the BM cheaper then Japanese bikes ha? which was before Diversion.!

What I knew (history) they were using - honda CB750, Suzuki katana 750, Yamaha genisis 750, BMW and now Diversion's.

Maybe, as what you say- there can be some truth..? but I don't think they go that far for the lowest qoutes.

There are other factors need to be considered, I don't think Yamaha is desperate to push Diversion or give lowest quotes (need to maintain, supply spare parts thru out their services as long as reqiured) as during those times R1 and fazer6 where hot cakes for Yamaha.

They are more Kiasu then any gov bodies in or around the world- that I'm very sure of..! They always wait until some country proven that it is a better bike on all expects (safety, maintainance, supply and reliabilty) before purchasing it. They ones already got their fingers burn!-remember! (or maybe I'm wrong?)..

Yo CasperXXX,

Your irritaion can be deal with as I have shown you and told you to file down those corners where the windscreen and cowling grazes(or meets) file a small semi-circle on the windscreen- so that the windscreen does not contact(graze) the cowling!!.

Mine I solved it, so simple..:thumb: unless you have 'Extra Cash' buy over the Ermax screen from swift and you pass your skidmarx to him.(only suggestion).
