Let us brain storm a few place / ideas that you can charge the bike,,,

1. Vock deck

2. Extend the S.S.O. from your house

3. Rubbish Collection Centre

they tout it as environmentally friendly but my question is... with charge times of 2 hours ++ and let's postulate that it catches on with motorcyclists, where do we get electricity from? Go Figure.

Wonder if they have, like those camera, another compartment where you can buy AAA size battery from mamak shop and install it once power runs out... then can go touring with top box full of Energizer Alkaline batteries.. :faint:

:lol::lol:

Maybe add a side box (like those ice-cream uncle) full of battery then sure can reach Ipoh...

The price is still too X, mileage too little, not enough S.S.O. ... But still hope that this project can pick up... Give it more years too upgrade on the hardware, then it will be a better choice to change...

There are scooter's that run on portable battery, and is widely use in China, and the speed is more then 50km/hr.

I wish i can do something to save Mother Earth too, but price tag too high.

With every good wishes

Guys don't buy first. Just wait. I spoke to a electric bicycle dealer here and

they intend to bring in China made electric scooters speed 70km/hr max and price around

$2K. It's nothing new already popular in China.

FYI, modified electric bicycle can run 60km/hr, although legally it's 30km/hr.

And no need road tax, COE, etc. can get less than 1.5K.

Wow sound great pal... But as mention earlier charging it bike is an issue as the basic infrastructure is not up yet,,,,

Maybe push the bike into the lift and park out yr unit, use an extension plug n start charging...:bounce:

I got one electric bike myself. Lucky my HDB big enough to park inside.

Go inside lift no problem. The battery can be taken out of the bike and

hand carried to a charging socket (looks like a tool box size little heavy though). Full charge takes around 7 hours. Can run around 2 hrs.

I keep charger inside box behind bike so can charge outside.

Suggested to buy the latest brushless type motor, no maintenance.

Battery need to change every 2 years cost nearly $200 (for 30km/hr type).

If you want double speed X 2.

There's battery level indicator and speedometer. If no power, can pedal.

I understand petrol driven type is ban.

Usually, I put my bicycle helmet in basket and wear cap instead.

most people my area ride on pavement as it's safer than on the road, of course don't speed lar. So far, petrol car see me also no time to bother.

Very good to fetch kids from school or go marketing. Can penetrate any urban areas same as bicycle.

wah lau. with that kind of weight.. all the battery power will b wasted on moving the thing around wat..

seriously if they haf a better model with higher speeds.. it will be safer and i definitely will try..
