My eyes were caught by Xpd X-Zero boots, which has e looking as below: http://www.motoworld.com.sg/products/159/large.jpg

Features:

Revolutionary concept

Exclusive mix between a technical shoe and a racing boot

Toe heel reinforcements adapted from racing boots

Polyurethane ankle reinforcment that comes from XPD racing experience

Single fastening device that saves the use of a traditional lace and allows the insertion of wide flex areas

Racing derived flex area that comes directly from racing boots and helps the comfort in the riding position

Extra resistant Superfabric toe slider area protects from abrasion

I am wondering is it comfortable for normal daily wearing?

Really reed some advices from e bro having this boots or others wearing similar kind of boots.

Many thanks

I have a cheaper pair of boots the height of basketball shoes. When I reach the workplace, I take them off and change into my shoes. That way I keep the boots (which are more expensive than my shoes) alive for much longer time.

Looks a bit weird if you're gonna ride the bike into town, park it, then go for a movie, dinner or some window shopping.

I'll stick with SAF Goretex boots for now. The waterproofing is what keeps me going back for more.

if wear everyday, they will wear out much faster

Always ride safely and defensively.

Repair bike cheap and fast,

Repair body expensive and slow.

same here.. i take off my riding boots when i reach office... But if i work on sundays or saturday, i just wear them whole day in office and sometimes walk around to go buy lunch

SAF Goretex boots great for rainy days, but after wearing "proper" riding boots almost daily i don't feel that my feet are well protected with SAF boots.. But SAF boots are of course much safer then wearing sneakers or slippers!

Thanks all for the kind reply.

What I am really concerning is that, if the boots is too stiff or breathless to be worn off the bike??

Since so, I prefer the low cut riding shoes other than the longer one.

I wear my Sidi sport rain everyday during the weekdays, and sometimes during the weekends for about 2 years now

Ya it gets hot sometimes... but I have another pair of "shoes" in the office so I am pretty ok with it... actually sometimes I don't change it during office hour too and wear it for the whole day

protection is more important I guess

I don't really feel hot in it, probably because I have gotten used to it. I have worn it for riding for over 20 hours continuously and don't feel a thing too.

there r many different riding shoes in the market. some r leather grain, some r goretex membrane. which one to get depends on individual usage n priority. like is it for touring use? or normal riding shoe, with or without waterproofing? a boot just for riding that can repel water? many points to consider b4 getting a pair of riding shoes/boots.

most important is look at the specs of the riding shoe/boot like wat is it made of n so on. oso to read on the reviews of the footwear. then of cos! choose wisely.

hope the follow site can b of some help...

if not wear everyday, wear out much later,

but u wear it how many times?

e.g wear everyday, wore out within a year.. (u wear the boots 365 times)

if wear once every three days, will wear out in three years..? (u also wear the boots 365 times)
