Loud Exhaust Pipes

I have been troubled by this problem of loud exhaust pipe for some time liao. Dun get me wrong...I'm not a snob but a biker myself.

 

I can accept that some people like their exhaust pipe loud but when these people start to invite their biker frens over at 2am below my block and start to chit chat loudly before going off one by one blowing their exhaust pipes to their loudest, something has to be done right??...It's ok if you "blow" your pipe in the day but 2am AT NIGHT???!?!?! Almost every household is asleep for God's sake....And almost every other night these people gather below my block and do the same thing...I never failed to be woken up by the loud noise of pipes everytime they leave coz I stay on lower floors.....

 

Does anyone share the same agony as I?? What would you do if you were me?? How to write in to complain? TP or LTA???? I hope to get some advice.....

 

P.S. It's really loud!! No exaggeration.....

i hate them... not that i dun like loud bike or frens gathering... but like u say 2am in the morning... thats not appropriate... may be wat u can do is report to Town Council 1st.... at least give them face by warning 1st.. if still no change.... call police.. they are more willing to help rather than drive around town nothing to do.. any policemen here? jus kidding hor...

Yah....Actually I hate them too...didn't want to use too harsh words but these people really too much lah...I always fantasise about tying them up next to their own bikes and "blow" the throttle for them to enjoy the "melody" of their own pipe....

 

Anyway, town council got jahgar these kind of things meh?? Calling the Police is viable but always I'm too tired at 2am leh...

 

Anyone here got other experience to share??

I still can tahan the loud exhuasts from the aftermarket pipes , but those on the 2 stroke bikes tat r hollow inside , i cant bear wif it . cant tahan the sharp noise .

nobody in ur neighbourhood complained? . actually i am much better then u . at least when they whack their bike,is during afternoon. when i am playing bball near my sch . there are always some malay biker whacking their bike in carpark. close area somemore. then after whacking . they will ride around the neighbourhood . some are even more daring , ride without their helmets on . if police happened to patrol and saw them , i bet i will LAUGH !! and near void deck that kind of small road . they ride fast too . around 70km/h . its really v.fast .

just call the neighbourhood police post immediately, claim that there is an illegal gathering of men below your block with modified vehicles revving their bikes loudly and they looked like they were stealing parts.

 

i guarantee you the police will entertain them. tried and tested ^_^

aftermarket pipes? try those kups who fix on endurance pipes or yoshi pipes for their x1 and spark135. those are really really loud and irritating. those who mod their original pipes too. lol.

Wow you're born with a speed cam/radar built in you..I couldn't even tell how fast a bike is moving..Unless I'm riding it myself..As for just watching it and assume its at a certain speed..I guess I'm not capable at that..Do impart to me your skill unless of course you have a bult in speed cam/radar in you..

 

I wouldn't say sportbikes have loud pipes..I would say those kups with modded pipes (whatever pipe that not stock) makes the most noise..Ever on the road and thought a big bike like a Harley is beside/behind you? Check mirror/look back what did I see? An X1 (kups) with the sound of a Harley..I can't stand the music they play with their built in speakers..Sure they do pay for the licence but what the hell..It distracts me..

i guess if they are gathering at the void deck with loud bike and chit chat the whole nite u can call the town council lor... if at the carpark the most you can call NPP.... nobody else can be complained too.. unless u wanna keep a 'lastik' and shoot them urself when they are noisy...

I dun think talking to them nicely would solve the problem....These people obviously know that they're causing noise pollution but most likely they dun give a heck as they wanna prove themselves or something....When you're in a group, one tends to show off and these behaviours resonate among the group hence everyone tries to be hero....

 

I can only hope TP spot them at the expressway and fine them heavy heavy.....

How would you know if you never try? They're humans too..With a heart..I'm sure if you were to ask them nicely/politely they will listen to you..But if you were to stammer down shouting at them then I would say the opposite would happen..

Let me guess. U stay opposite Bukit Panjang plaza or around there?

 

Maybe you can get a good video cam and record down their acts zooming in on their number plates and a copy to Straits Time, TP headquarter and LTA ROV dept.

Haha....Looks like there's another bunch of noise polluters at Panjang area yah.... Me in the east side leh....Looks like these burgers are everywhere....

 

Anyway, taking video is not really possible considering:-

1) I'm too sleepy to set up one at 2am....Hee

2) My cam cannot zoom in so well leh...some more at night....

 

Also, I really thought of going downstairs and talk to them nicely but always when it happens, I'm just too sleepy to pull myself up, get change and go downstairs....Also, wat if they turn violent....Sigh.....

 

I'm not afraid to let them know I wanna complain them.....problem is dunno who to complain to...Too much of a hassle plus lazy too also lah....Hope one day when they blowing at 2am, I just came back and I sure confront them one.....
