808 HD keychain

e videos looks good and the price is less than $10 ._.

Wanted the keychain camera way before I got into an accident I have no recollection of. Recently went to SLS and asked about it. I was quoted 38 for a piece. So I said thanks and left.

Actually e keychain type of video cam ranges from dirt cheap $50. My gf suggested i just buy a cheap one and duct tape to my helmet. Can buy 2, 1 face front 1 face back. ^^

But I'm still keen on e crocolis. Figure tat it can become multi purpose for a fairly cheap price. Can be a digital hand held video cam (of coz quality loses to real video cams), water proof to ?? depth so can bring for snorkel or simple swimming.

Comes with METAL mount. This is quite impt in my opinion since most bike mounts materials seems to be those tough plastic type instead of metals.

Waiting 1 mth before deciding to prevent impulsive buys!!

Ve some comments after googling.

Vado is not waterproof. Waterproof case can be expensive and will likely affect e video capturing since mostly standard waterproofing case/bags r meant for smart devices or gps rather and video capture devices. (meaning no hole for shooting) so either it will e difficult to find or ve to diy.

Both does not ve native mounting capabilities. For vado wil be more of an issue since will ve to find a waterproof option then a suitable mount for it. For ge dv1, since it is native waterproofed, maybe can share how u mount on ur bike?

Also for ge dv1, e cnn review i come across comment tat it does ok for still videos but for movements even slow movements like pple walking, e images become slight blurry. Care to comment?

For both item"s price, seems tat crocolis is still better since it is waterproofed and comes with mounting @ 159$. There is e cheaper option under same company found at chinavasion. (look at e right column which suggest similar products)

Chill. Hahahaha. I have just gotten it. Dont have the chance to test it out yet.

For me, I believed $129 is cheap, with local warranty and I got it on the spot. No worries about shipping or lost parcel.

If i really want something real good, no doubt I would have jump straight to Gopro Hero HD2 Motorsport edition. Skip pass all these china "cameras"

I did saw the night video taken with extreme cam @ techmoan but I cant bear to spend 170ish USD on something without local warranty. :/

Dx has it too. http://www.dealextreme.com/p/1080p-sports-waterproof-digital-video-camera-w-4x-digital-zoom-av-out-hdmi-sd-1-5-lcd-72861?item=286

Mounting will shouldnt be a problem as long as you are willing to DIY. It maybe ugly since it is not as "pro" as gopro but who cares as long as it works. Anyway, I have gorillapod and tons of velcro. If it still doesnt work, dealextreme will have some good mounts.

Sry lol. I'm chilled. Sometimes when discussion i type in less relax pattern. :) but i always friendly de. ^^

do test then share share k. ya i agree if can buy locally much better. But e chinavasion seems to ve 1 yr warranty but!!! international purchases comes with its set of risk. :/ if local sell then easier for me to decide.

I think gopro price difference is too big. 499 tats almost 3 times my likely choice ($159 usd) and more than 3 times yours!!

Ya i saw e dx also. Maybe can consider buying from dx since i ve account and also their service not bad.

For mounting options, if ur cam has e standard camera screw hole can consider ram mount. A few of my riding fren has it. Feels secure on bike. $35+ usd though for some.

Gorillapod can mount on bike ah? Better get proper mount. ._.

Comfort, quality of video, price no comments.

But understand is either clear or shade type. If get clear then ve to buy those clip on shades? If shades then night/rain not suitable. I wear shades in e day.

Likely not waterproof?

Then same reason as to y i wan a mounted rather than stick on helmet type is e viewing angle will keep change. But now u can look at a target and record, so both pros and cons.

Lastly, less multi purpose.

Anyone who use before can share?

True. so must buy clear type then rain can wear lo. Then either get sun shade helmet or shade clip. So extra cost is there. This is my concern.

Anyway e crocolis ve a lower end model which should be between 100 ~ 110 which is waterproof and comes with mount.

If u just wan a cheap option get a key chain video cam. Go youtube search ve some good quality. Price $35+

But like wat e other post say, buy internationally has its own set of risk. :/

Ya saw those. E specs is shades and bulky. E owner had to cut some "form" not sure wat he mean. I need it to fit into FF helmet but e glasses form like too big for FF. Open face maybe can but i dun think i will go back to wearing open unless run short errands.

Both e helmet and mounted r no more selling. But both doesnt looking waterproof to me. But possible to diy. Lol. I lazy la!!!

But ya can consider this types also. Will look around for options.

thank duo for the heads up.

for the concern i read, its mainly on the design of specs itself. he is using a big old type of glasses. i found one at ebay that has a slim profile on the specs "legs". better video quality too. on paper.

but it can only last 80mins of recording before it has to be charge again.

he did not point out any issues on the quality of the video it self.

so i will give it a try.

since it will kill two birds with one stone for my case hehehehe

yes. he needs to cut some foam as he bought one that is similier to my oakley monster dog. which is quite big for any helmets.

Share e link? I also go search on deal extreme an other places try. Think e glasses concept is pretty good especially since u can also "catch" those talk on phone.

Next time can move beside, record him, smile wave, say "u r on camera!!!" then let him move off and record number plate. Win!!!

If u buy pls pls share with me. I will consider buying both a mounted and a glasses model. I post e above scenario i make myself "high". Lol
