hmm...u want long handlebar??i got one..bought from ah boy..will give u for free..carbon fibre looks...

Heres a short story i epxperience...

once upon a time..i used a long handle bar...it looks nice..damn fierce..riding was fun wif long handles..until i meet the TRAFFIC JAM!I paniced...need to rush..but cant squeeze..try to squeeze but movement damn slow..

Shits start to happen...clutch cable seems to get tighter..trottle seems to get tighter too..i panic again..but still i keep on using it..

Then came the malacca trip...i cant keep up wif my frens coz my damn hands getting cramp...riding tru the wind seems like cutting apple wif a blunt knife..felt like crying!Always the last bike to reach...tis really make me tink hard..to change back to my original handle..

And now i live happily ever after!heheheh

But again..its up to u to change or not..juz telling u my experience...maybe its juz me..So..rather than wasting money buy a new handle..i give u mine...try out..and :goodluck:

thnx for sharing bro :thumb: :thumb:

i'm using ah boy's long handlebar .... but i lowered my fork 3in .... using an old school bracket .... n jacking up my suspension using posh gold bracket .... quite nice to ride.... must got skill to go tru traffic jam n nvr say die attitude .... conering more fun (since i lowered my fork) n looks damn fierce. but bad point since i'm usng version s my choke cable has to be taken out .... every cable that fits on my bike has to me streech to its limits n my switches all loose as handlebar width not big.... but i diy myself everything ok ar .... if riding fast bend down as low as possible lor .... i know i bit akward but even superbikes when riding fast have to bend low if not will be tiring n as if cutting apple like that ...

Hi,

For those S4 riders interested to fix those scrambler handguards(acerbis), may wish to buy from Chong Aik (along Joo Chiat Road). Ard $40-$60; depending on type.

there are several types, like those fixed on Runner bikes, some that go around the hand-grips, etc...

My bike has them; good when riding thru those roads with small debris/ stones which might fly towards u w/o warning. Also boost the outlook of your bike!!

for me, veri nostalgic cuz i was riding XR4 before switching to S4....

why do you wanna do that to a super 4??? :giddy:

1st : its more easy to handle

2nd : when comes to cornering, it tackle lower then ironclaw handlebar

3rd: no aching shoulder jus that simple !

4th: no such things as hard to squeeze in between vehicles

Posted

this topic been discussed before..

have a look >>> HERE

i recommend u to get a high bend type, should not be problem with your brake cable, brake hose and instruments wiring..

if u wanna get a scram bar, get a real scram bar.. feels better, looks better and most of all, it's worth every cent paid for it... i did it on my super4, why don't you?..

and also, there's 2 markets for it if u decide to sell it away.. the scram guys and those who wanted to mod up their super4 and xjr

cheerssss..

beg to differ there buddy.

of all the long term bikes i've ever had, honda makes the best stock mirrors of all the manufacturers. especially the ones that come stock on the super4 400, 750 and 1300. the only oem mirrors that i know surpass honda's are the ones fitted on bmw k-series in the 80s. and those you could bludgeon an elephant to death with.

technical fanfare aside, your choice of mirrors are entirely at your own discretion. but to my personal dismay, i think way to many people bolt on equipment that often borders on irresponsibility to personal safety (not to mention illegal), for the sake of 'expressing individualism' and 'looking ultra cool'.

for example, i'm sure you've seen people on s4 running with those 'posh' suspension extenders.... my god, ah-boy gets those manufactured in thailand of dubious quality aluminium. imagine that vital point searing or breaking while you're sweeping a corner! (btw, those are not the genuine jap POSH units you find in mags, real POSH quality is way better n mucho pricy). the other one is signal lights, i used to run tiny ones thinking they were pimpin, but several near misses convinced me that i'd rather be as visible as possible and riding, as opposed to hanging out at the morgue.

so hey, if you're good with vibrating mirrors and would trade clarity for uber kool looks, that's your call.

on a side note, i sure would like to give those wide and high scram bars a try. it seems to me you get better leverage because of the length, plus the reduction in weight (lighter bar/minus stock balancers) would translate to lighter steering. but the vibration is a downer tho.

let me hear you giggle like a convent girrrrllll!
