I read the papers today and another Duke rider went down while on the way to track... My condolences...

I had not wished to comment but Kason was a friend.

The accident happened late at night. An eye-witness stated, "It was a freak incident,... a lorry hit a Hyundai Getz, making it spin, & hit both of us who happened to be there at the wrong time, wrong space..." Kason died on the spot. The eye-witness escaped with slight injuries. A 3rd rider was unscathed.

I know Kason to be a VERY competent rider with exceptional skills. Unfortunately, his time was up. The Grace of God determines whether your time is up or not - it's got nothing to do with mindset.

I give you another example - Norick Abe, (3 times GP winner) who was killed recently by a truck making an illegal u-turn. He had supreme skill, among the best in the world. His time was up and there was nothing he could do about it.

Just a suggestion when one encounters a fatality report:

Offer your condolences by all means. But PLEASE, don't offer your 2 cents worth.

Heard abt the incident on the weekend but not knowing exactly who it was.

I was further deeply saddened to find out it was Kason from today's HOME section. A fren I got to know through storm-rider group via their usual kopi meetups some years back at Frangipani. Also one of the competent rider I look upon back then when I started riding.....

As I can't pay my last respect to him with the wake over (last heard from a fellow friend), My deepest condolences to Kason's family members...

Thank You.

Regards,

AR2 Performance

Sorry to interrupt in this thread as im not a Ducati rider but i luv Ducs and intend to get one in future but i came across this statement and i feel disturbed by this sentence and i want to say something to the person whom post this, are you implying that certain bikes ppl ride made them feel they are invisible? Another thing which is it is very unkind of you to post this statement after knowing someone...

My Friend you are in good hands as God knows whats best for you. 30/10/12 Dedication, love, arrogance, pain tolerance...these things WILL bring you lvl after lvl.Strength of mind. Strength of character.Drop your hero worship. Become the animal.U can do anything. Work. Practice. Crash. Improve. Crash. Win. Nv give up. Nv surrender. Crush them. Crush their spirit. Crush their dreams. Now Move.

Actually it was a stationary lorry on the side of the road. A lady driver of the getz hit the lorry and spun out of control right into Kason's path. He died almost on the spot. His body at the wake was not in good shape i can say, cremated today with a convoy to escort him to the crematorium. I did not know him well but any rider on the road is a friend to everyone of us, whether big bike or small bike, tons of experience or P plater. May he rest in peace.

Ride safe all, God bless.
